Brisbane Heat women vs Melbourne Stars women, WBBL 2020
Brisbane Heat women will take on Melbourne Stars women in the 27th game of the women’s Big Bash League. The match will be played on the Hurstville Oval, Sydney and is scheduled to begin at 01:45 PM local time
The defending Champions Brisbane Heat haven't had the best of WBBL 2020 as of yet. With one win and 3 losses, their campaign is already in shambles. They’re up against a strong Melbourne Stars that are yet to lose in the tournament. The problem for Brisbane Heat has been their batting that has not delivered as per the expectations. In their last match, Heat got off to a terrific start but again collapsed to lose the match by 18 runs. Georgia Redmayne played a blistering inning of 65 but got no support from other batsmen. For Brisbane, Maddy Green, Jess Jonassen and Grace Harris need to perform if they’re to beat this Melbourne Stars side. Laura Kimmince, Amelia Kerr and Nadine de Klern provide depth to Heat’s batting they too haven’t delivered yet. Heat have plenty of options in Nicola Hancock, Jess Jonassen, Nadine de Klerk and Delissa Kimmince in the bowling department that have performed well but it’s their batters that need to stand up to the occasion.
Melbourne Stars on the other hand have won both of their completed matches. In Elyse Villani, Meg Lanning, Mignon du Preez and Natalie Sciver, they’ve a strong batting line up. Stars also boast of a fearsome bowling line up in Katherine Brunt, Natalie Sciver and Annabel Sutherland. Their bowlers were on the top of their game against Perth Scorchers as they bowled them out for a mere 110. Overall, Melbourne Stars are in top form in batting and bowling department and are favourites to win against Brisbane Heat
