Barbados Royals must win this match after narrowly losing their opening game of the tournament to Trinbago Knight Riders. In a very entertaining game to watch, the Royals came up one run short when they made 113-7 in reply to the Knight Riders’ 114-7 on Wednesday. Requiring 11 runs from the final over, it got off to the worst possible start when Afy Fletcher was dismissed from the first ball before number nine batter Qiana Joseph hit a six from her second ball. Guyana Amazon Warriors ended their first game of the Women’s CPL with no-result against Trinbago Knight Riders on Thursday evening. Although the Warriors were able to bowl the entirety of their 20 overs, they were only able to bat for two overs before the rain arrived. Cherry-Ann Fraser was the pick of the bowlers dismissing Natasha McLean, Lee-Ann Kirby and Sune Luus whilst conceding only 21 runs. Off-spinner Karishma Ramharack was the only one of the five bowlers used who did not pick up a wicket.
