BAN vs WI 2nd Test Prediction & Betting Tips
Having lost the 1st Test, Bangladesh will be keen to get back to winning ways when they take the field against West Indies in the second Test that gets underway from February 11th at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka at 9:30 AM local time.
Chasing 395, against a quality spin attack of Bangladesh, at 59-3, no one would have imagined a West Indies win. But as it’s said that cricket is a game of uncertainty, Kyle Mayers stroked a magnificent double hundred to pull off the highest successful run chase on Asian soil. Nkrumah Bonner was the other batsmen that must be appreciated for his efforts. His 86 run knock was as crucial as the double ton by Mayers. However if you take out the performance of these two, West Indies were pretty poor. Miracles don’t happen often and that’s the reason we’re going to go in with Bangladesh as the favourites for the match as they were the better team between the two, even though they lost the match. Batting is an issue for West Indies and they’ll need all their batsmen to come good in the match. The pace attack looks pretty decent but the lack of quality spinner make their attack look one dimensional.
Coming to Bangladesh they should be satisfied with their performance in the last match. They batted well, they bowled well and dominated West Indies for the most part of the match. Sometimes results don’t reflect the right picture and Bangladesh will know if they can play the same way they did in the first Test, they’ll be in with a great chance of winning the match. They have a very strong batting and with three quality spinners in Taijul Islam, Mehidy Hasan and Nayeem Hasan, they’ll pose a stern challenge to the West Indies

BAN Team News
Shakib al Hasan has been ruled out of the second Test against West Indies after picking up an injury in the last Test. Soumya Sarkar has been named as his replacement.
BAN Key Players
- Tamim Iqbal - In the absence of Shakib al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal is their best batsmen. He was in fine form in the ODI series but missed out in the 1st Test. It’s not a major concern as he’s a quality batsman and is expected to be back among the runs in the next match. If he gets going, Bangladesh will end up with a massive total
- Mominul Haque - Mominul Haque stroked a top class century in the second innig of the 1st Test. The skipper is one of the main stay of this Bangladesh batting and will look to replicate his success in the next game.
- Mehedy Hasan - Mehedy Hasan had a fantastic first Test. First he scored a century in the first Test and then backed it up with two four wicket hauls in both the innings. The pitch will be aiding the spinners and Hasan will enjoy that.
BAN Team Form

WI Key Players
- Kyle Mayers - Mayers did an unthinkable in the first Test and stroked a magnificent double hundred to help West Indies pull off the highest successful run chase in Asia. He said that he doesn’t want to be a one hit wonder and will look to back his performance with another good one.

Bangladesh vs West Indies Head to Head
West Indies have dominated Bangladesh in Test but they’re not the same team now. However, in the first Test, they did surprise the host with a shocking win. Kyle Mayers and Nkrumah Bonner helped them chase the target on 395 on the 5th day of the Test. Even after the win, we think Bangladesh were the better of the two teams.

🏆 Bangladesh vs West Indies Prediction
Bangladesh were very good in the first Test. It was just a top knock from Mayers that took the game away from the hosts. West Indies are very inconsistent, even in the first game, apart from Mayers and Bonner, no other player looked in some form. For us, Bangladesh are big favourites.
