Australia Legends will take on West Indies Legends in Match 17 of the Road Safety World Series at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun. The game begins at 15:30 local time on Sunday 25th September.

After having to miss all of their games in the 2021 Road Safety World Series due to travel restrictions, Australia Legends have won one, lost one and had one no-result from their three matches in this year’s competition. Wicket-keeper Brad Haddin top scored with 58 not out from 37 balls in the win over Bangladesh Legends with Shane Watson (35) and Callum Ferguson (24) the only other Australians to post double-figure scores. The same three were the only players to hit sixes in the innings.

Opening bowlers, Brett Lee and Dirk Nannes were the top performers for Australia Legends in Match 11. Nannes bowled a maiden and conceded only two runs in the other over with Lee taking 1-12 from his two overs. Brad Hodge only conceded nine runs from his two overs but went wicketless.

AU-L Form

With a close victory over Bangladesh Legends the only win so far in the campaign for Australia Legends, they need a win in this clash to make the rest of the teams stand up and take notice of them.

West Indies Legends 

West Indies Legends have had two games washed out due to the wet weather but have won their other two fixtures and are still unbeaten as they approach this their fifth match. They have 12 points on the board and are in third place, two points from Sri Lanka Legends at the top of the table.

WI-L Batting

Devon Smith is the only player to have hit two half-centuries in the competition after scores of 51 against Bangladesh Legends and 73 against England Legends. The opener ended last year’s tournament with successive fifties and is in excellent form.

WI-L Bowling

Left-arm medium pacer Krishmar Santokie and tall spinner Sulieman Benn have been the pick of West Indies Legends’ bowlers with nine dismissals in the campaign between them. Santokie took 3-7 against Bangladesh Legends before taking a further two wickets in the win over England Legends.

WI-L Form

West Indies Legends will be very pleased with their performances so far and would be higher than third place if two of their games had not been called off due to poor weather.
