The scene now shifts to the much-awaited day/night fixture at the Adelaide Oval which will be the third and the final game of South Africa's tour of Australia. Adelaide Oval has seen several scores in excess of 500 in the past with few even going beyond the 600-mark. So the ground has generally been good enough to bat on. Australia have revamped their squad for this game and have made six changes with Matthew Wade, Matt Renshaw, Jackson Bird, Nic Maddinson, Chadd Sayers and Peter Handscomb drafted into the 12-member squad. Khawaja, Hazlewood, Warner, Mitchell Starc, Smith and Nathan Lyon have been retained.
Key Players
David Warner has three hundreds from five test matches at this ground and he is the only one from this current squad to have an impressive batting record here. The opener has looked to be in good form in this series with scores of 97, 35 and 45 and he will be the key batsman for Australia in this match. The hosts are going to depend largely on Hazlewood and Starc with the ball. The two pacers have taken 11 and 8 wickets apiece in the series and playing them will be the biggest challenge for the Proteas.

Australia had suffered a 0-3 hammering at the hands of Sri Lanka prior to this series and are now trailing by 0-2 on their home turf. This means that the Aussies have now lost five tests in a row. South Africa have been exceptional on this tour and are looking in top form with back-to-back wins. But they haven't quite done well at this ground of late with two defeats and two draws from their previous four tests. Their last test win here came back in 1964.
