Jason Behrendorff came into the Australia team last time out – his first appearance of the tournament so far – while Shaun Marsh and Kane Richardson both featured for the second time. Nathan Coulter-Nile, Adam Zampa and injured Marcus Stoinis were the men to miss out. Stonis seems to have recovered from the side strain and is likely to return for this match with Shaun Marsh making way for him. Australia could bring back Adam Zampa in place of Jason Behrendorff who did not have the best of days with the ball against Sri Lanka.
Captain Aaron Finch was back to his very best last time out, hammering 153 off 132 balls against Sri Lanka. That followed his 82 against Pakistan and takes him to a team-high 343 runs so far.
Like Finch, opening partner David Warner has also scored one century and two half-centuries so far in this year’s tournament. He has 281 runs in total, while Steve Smith has now scored 243 after his 73 against Sri Lanka. That was Smith’s third half-century of the tournament.
Australia’s pacemen have delivered with the ball, meanwhile. Mitchell Starc has 13, including five against West Indies at Trent Bridge and four against Sri Lanka last time out. Pat Cummins is two behind, meanwhile, with 11 and an exceptional economy rate of 4.48 runs per over.
Australia have won four of their five matches so far at the World Cup 2019, with their only defeat coming in their third game when they lost to India.
They made a winning start against Afghanistan, after bowling them out for 207, and then had Mitchell Starc’s five-wicket haul to thank as they defended 288 in a 15-run win against West Indies.
Defeat to India followed – falling for 316 in reply to 352/5 – but Australia have passed 300 in both matches since and won each of them. 307 proved 41 runs too many for Pakistan in the first, as they got back to winning ways, before Aaron Finch’s superb 153 powered them to 334/7 and an 87-run win against Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh made their first change of this year’s tournament last time out against West Indies and were rewarded when Liton Das – in for Mohammed Mithun – scored an unbeaten 94. After the win against West Indies, the Tigers could stick with their winning line-up.
Shakib Al Hasan has been in top form so far for Bangladesh, highlighting that with back-to-back centuries in the last two games. Having started with scores of 75 and 64, he hit 121 against England and 124* against West Indies. He has also taken five wickets.
Liton Das was also in good batting form last time out, marking his first start of the tournament with an unbeaten 94 from 69 balls. Tamim Iqbal showed good form too, with 48 before he was brilliantly run-out by Sheldon Cottrell.
Mohammad Saifuddin’s three wickets last time out took him to nine in four games so far, though he has been expensive. Mustafizur Rahman also took three and has seven in total, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib have five apiece – the latter two with good economy rates too.
Bangladesh won their opening match of the tournament against South Africa, posting 330/6 and holding on to win by 21 runs.
The Tigers lost their next two, posting 244 in a two-wicket loss to New Zealand, before then falling for 280 in reply to England’s 386/6 in Cardiff.
They bounced back in style, however, as Shakib Al Hasan’s second consecutive century led a huge chase of 322 to beat West Indies by seven wickets in just 41.3 overs last time out.

Australia have won 18 of their 20 previous matches against Bangladesh, and remain unbeaten against the Tigers at the World Cup. Bangladesh’s one and only win in this fixture was in England, however, back in 2005 – Mohammad Ashraful’s century making global headlines in that five-wicket win.
Their most recent ODI match was also in England, but was curtailed by the rain at the last Champions Trophy.

Australia are huge favourites to beat Bangladesh with the bookmakers. Bet365 are offering 1.14 on an Australia win, while Betway and Betrally have priced them at 1.15 and 1.17 respectively. Bangladesh are 4.75 with Betway, while the Tigers are as high as 4.80 with Betrally and 5.50 with Bet365.
Aaron Finch was in superb form last time out against Sri Lanka, and the captain is 4.33 to be Australia’s top batsman again with Bet365. Fellow in-form opener David Warner is 3.50, while Steve Smith is 4.33 with Betway.
There is no question who Bangladesh’s star batsman is, meanwhile. Shakib Al Hasan is 3.50 to be their top batsman with Bet365 and Betway. He has passed 50 in every innings so far and scored centuries in his last two knocks.
Bet365 are offering 1.61 on the all-rounder scoring over 51.5 performance points. Betway are offering 2.25 on him scoring more than 50 runs again, while he is 5.50 to hit a third consecutive century (again, with Betway).
With the ball, Mitchell Starc claimed five wickets last time Australia were at Trent Bridge and he is 3.00 to be their top bowler with both Bet365 and Betway. Pat Cummins is 3.50.
Australia are huge favourites to beat Bangladesh with the bookmakers and have a dominant record in this fixture. The Tigers have played well in their two wins so far, but there does still seem to be a gulf between themselves and the top teams and Australia can go back to the top of the table with a win.
