Colin Munro will not be available for Auckland Aces as he is with the New Zealand national team that is currently playing a T20I series against India. In his absence, the team will be counting on the likes of Glenn Phillips, Robert O'Donnell and skipper Craig Cachopa to score the big runs on Saturday. Cachopa has scored the most runs for Auckland this Super Smash season and is coming off a 39-ball 60 against the Knights. Phillips has batted well on occasions and the onus will be on him to provide a good start to the innings. Mitchell McClenaghan, Matthew Quinn and William Somerville form a potent bowling attack. McClenaghan has been one of the tournament's best bowlers with 14 wickets in seven matches and he will be the biggest threat for the Central Stags. Somerville was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-28 in the reverse encounter and the team will want him to replicate that performance here.

Central Stags put up a good batting performance in the last game against Wellington Firebirds with Dean Foxcroft top-scoring with 51 and George Worker too weighing in with a quickfire 44. These two batsmen are the key at the top of the order and the team will be expecting at least one of them to play the big knock in this match. Skipper Tom Bruce is amongst the tournament's leading run-getters with 293 runs and he is another danger man with the bat in this middle order. The Stags' bowling line-up will be without their premier pace bowler Blair Tickner and so it will be up to Seth Rance, Ben Wheeler and Ajaz Patel to do the job with the ball. Wheeler has been the most successful bowler for the Stags after Tickner with nine wickets in eight matches. The left-arm seamer had returned impressive figures of 2-12 from four overs in the reverse fixture and he is more likely to trouble the Auckland batsmen.

Auckland Aces and Central Stags have played 22 matches against each other in the New Zealand domestic twenty20 tournaments. The former have won 13 of those and the latter 8 with one of the matches having resulted in a tie.
Auckland Aces registered a five-wicket win when they faced Central Stags earlier in the ongoing season in December last year at New Plymouth. Auckland, after winning the toss and electing to bowl first, shot the Stags out for just 107 inside 18 overs and then chased down their target comfortably with more than three overs to spare.
Matches Played: 22; Auckland Aces Won: 13; Central Stags Won: 8; Tie: 1
Auckland Aces are favorites amongst the bookmakers to win this penultimate league-stage game of the Super Smash 2018-19. They are being offered at odds of 1.75 on Betway, 1.80 on Bet365 and 1.90 on Betfair. Central Stags are the underdogs for this match at a slightly higher price of 1.95 on Betway, 2 on Bet365 and 1.91 on Betfair.
Auckland Aces and Central Stags have both been consistent and have been neck-and-neck this season. Auckland, however, have the advantage of playing at their home ground and having won their last two games here will surely make them feel good going into this match. They even got the better of the Stags in their first meeting of the season and hold a slightly better record against them overall. While Auckland will be without Colin Munro for this game, the Stags will be missing Doug Bracewell and the in-form Blair Tickner. Although both sides have lost some of their key players, we feel that the Stags will be affected more than Auckland which is why we expect the latter to emerge victorious in this battle.
