Who will win Adelaide Strikers vs Brisbane Heat Final, WBBL 2019?
There is little doubt Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat have been the top two teams in this year’s Women’s Big Bash League and they will now contest the final at Allan Border Field on December 8. The match is due to start at 13:40 local time.
Both teams won ten of their 14 league matches and then enjoyed comfortable semi-final wins, with both teams led by in-form batsmen at the top of the order. Adelaide have Player of the Tournament Sophie Devine in fine form – which she continued with her unbeaten half-century in their eight-wicket win in the semi-final. She has now scored nine half-centuries and picked up 18 wickets too.
For Brisbane Heat, meanwhile, Beth Mooney did not add to her eight half-centuries last time out, but she still has 687 runs in total so far. Their bowling, meanwhile, has been led by Jess Jonassen – who claimed her 20th wicket of the tournament in the semi-final win against Melbourne Renegades.

ADSW vs BRHW Toss Prediction
Both teams won the toss in the semi-final and fielded first so this could be a key toss to win. Adelaide had a long run of losing the toss during the league stage, so perhaps their luck has changed.
ADSW vs BRHW Weather Report
With practically no chance of rain, the final in Brisbane will be undisrupted. There is a bit of cloud and humidity, which could favour bowlers, but otherwise it will be excellent all day
ADSW vs BRHW Pitch Condition
Allan Border Field offers turn and bounce for spinners, but the semi-finals proved good teams will score runs here.

Adelaide Strikers Women Team News & Playing 11
ADSW Team News
Darcie Brown has replaced Lauren Winfield in the squad, who is now on England duty, but it was Alex Price who replaced her last time out. Annie O’Neil also retained her place. Neither batted nor bowled, but Adelaide are likely to stick with their winning 11.
ADSW Key Players
Sophie Devine: The New Zealand all-rounder’s supreme form continued last time out, as she took 2-23 with the ball and then led the chase with 65* from 46 balls. It was her ninth half-century and she now has 764 runs and 18 wickets for the season.
Sarah Coyte: Also claimed her 18th wicket of the tournament last time out, having proved a valuable foil to the bigger names in this Adelaide team.
Megan Schutt: The world’s top WT20i bowler stepped up to the big occasion last time out. Her bowling has been tidy throughout, but she claimed 2-14 in the semi-final – including 14 dot balls – to put the Strikers in a strong position from the very off.
ADSW Team Form
Adelaide won six consecutive matches to storm into the semi-finals, with Sophie Devine’s batting key to that success, but they missed out on top spot when yet another Devine half-century was not enough as they chased 178 to beat Sydney Sixers in their final game.
There were no such issues in the semi-final, however. Megan Schutt (2-14) and Sophie Devine (2-23) helped limit Perth Scorchers to just 126/7, and Devine’s ninth half-century of the tournament (65*) led the Strikers to an eight-wicket win.

Brisbane Heat Women Team News & Playing 11
BRHW Team News
Unsurprisingly, Brisbane Heat stuck once again with the team that has got them to this stage. It is highly unlikely there will be any changes for the final either.
BRHW Key Players
Beth Mooney: Could not continue her fine batting form last time out as she posted just 15, albeit in a 69-run opening partnership, in the semi-final, but she does still have eight half-centuries and 687 runs to her name this season.
Jess Jonassen: Continued her excellent all-round form when she took 1-25 with the ball last time out, including bowling 11 dot balls, and then hammered 38 from 23 balls with the bat. She now has 20 wickets and 386 runs in this year’s WBBL.
Amelia Kerr: Claimed her 13th wicket of the tournament in the semi-final win, and it is a mark of how good she has been that figures of 1-30 were expensive by her standards.
BRHW Team Form
Brisbane Heat have won nine of their last ten matches in total, including a reduced ten-over game – their final group match – which saw them finish top. Amelia Kerr’s 2-4 helped limit Melbourne Stars to 87/6 and Beth Mooney smashed an unbeaten half-century to seal victory.
In the semi-final, they were set 164 to beat Melbourne Renegades and Beth Mooney fell cheaply, but Maddy Green and Jess Jonassen both made useful scores to seal a four-wicket win with two overs to spare.

Adelaide Strikers Women vs Brisbane Heat Women Head to Head
Brisbane Heat’s nine-wicket win when these teams last met was their seventh in ten previous matches against Adelaide Strikers. Each beat the other by big margins this season, however. Prior to that Brisbane win, Adelaide bowled them out for 139 despite Beth Mooney’s 73 and Suzie Bates and Bridget Patterson hit half-centuries in an eight-wicket triumph. Last time out, however, Mooney hit 77* as the Heat chased 142 to win. Sophie Devine had earlier hit 65 in Adelaide’s 141/8.
