Sydney Thunder vs Adelaide Strikers – Match 5 – Big Bash League | |
---|---|
Date | 16th December 2022 |
Time | 2:45 PM IST, 9:15 AM GMT 8:15 PM LOCAL |
Venue | Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney |
Both teams started the tournament with a win in the opening game. Sydney Thunder picked up a close win by 1 wicket against Melbourne Stars. Chasing a target of 123, Thunder struggled in the chase and it was only a cameo by Gurinder Sandhu who took them over the line.
Meanwhile, Adelaide Strikers thrashed Sydney Sixers by 51 runs. Strikers posted a solid 184-6, courtesy of 84 by Matthew Short before the bowlers restricted the Sixers to 133-7.
Expect the wicket to be a good one to bat. The bowlers may get some swing early on with the new ball but the quick outfield aided with consistent pace and bounce will make the wicket a batting paradise after the first couple of overs.
It will be a cloudy day but rain is unlikely to affect the game. The temperature will range between 20 and 16 degrees.

Sydney Thunder have named the same team for the coming game against the Strikers. Meanwhile, Adelaide Strikers are yet to name their squad but we feel that they too will not change the winning combination.
