South Africa women recently played a T20I series against India women and West Indies. They defeated India women in the final to win the series. South Africa women also played two warm-up games against England and Pakistan womenw where they lost to England but defeated Pakistan women.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka women played their warm-up games against Ireland women and West Indies women. Even though they managed to beat Ireland women by 2 runs, they lost to West Indies by four wickets.
If the warm-up games are anything to go by, the wickets will be very feasible for high-scoring games. Short boundaries and fast outfields will be on display during the tournament and a few run feasts are expected.
The weather will be slightly cold but rain is not a threat. The temperature will range between 27 and 18 degrees.

Laura Wolvaardt is a top batter and one of the key players in the South Africa women’s team. Wolvaardt scored 65 against Pakistan and if South Africa have to go the distance in this World Cup, she has to play a big role.
Chamari Atapattu is one of the most consistent batters in Sri Lanka. There are not much expectations from Sri Lanka in the tournament but if they are to pull off a few upsets, Atapattu will have to bring out her A-Game.
Chloe Tryon showed her brutal hitting skills when she blasted 65 off 23 balls against England women in the warm-up game, chasing 248. She can be a surprise package for teams in the coming world cup.
Shabnim Ismail has carried the burden of South Africa's bowling for years now and once again the team rest their hopes on her in the bowling department.
Inoka Ranaweera has been one of the backbones of Sri Lanka’s bowling attack and will once again spearhead the team with the ball in hand.
