MI New York picked up a remarkable win over Washington Freedom to book a berth in the MLC Challenger. MI barely managed to qualify for the playoffs after losing 3 of the five games. However, a better run rate than San Francisco pushed them into the playoffs. The team’s batting once again faltered as they could only muster 141-7, however, a magnificent 4-wicket haul by Trent Boult helped the team revive their campaign and beat Washington Freedom.
Meanwhile, Texas Super Kings were handed a crushing defeat by Seattle Orcas. The team was blown away by the table toppers who restricted Super Kings to 129-9 before chasing the target in just 15 overs. The winner of this match will face Seattle Orcas in the MLC final.
The pitch has become slightly slower which has resulted in the teams getting shot down for low scores. However, once the batter is set and used to the pace, run-scoring will be easy.
The temperature will range between 28 and 38 degrees. It will be a clear day so rain is also not a threat.

Nicholas Pooran was dismissed for 1 in the Qualifier but the batter has been in great form in the tournament. Pooran is the second-highest run scorer of the tournament with 228 runs in 6 games.
Tim David has scored 166 runs in the tournament. While he has not played a big match-winning innings, he has notched up a few important cameos. If there comes an opportunity where David is needed to face more balls, he is very much capable to play a match winning knock.
Trent Boult has taken 15 wickets in 6 games of the tournament. The left-arm pacer has been in ruthless form and helped MINY defend a low score against Washington Freedom by taking 4 wickets. Boult is a genuine match-winner.
Conway has not been able to make a huge impact in MLC but he is a top batter and his experience of playing in knockout games will come in very handy for the Texas Super Kings. Conway has scored 183 runs in 6 games.
Rashid Khan can also prove to be a game-changer for MINY. Khan is one of the greatest spinners in this format of the game and will hold the aces for MI New York in the Challenger.
