Ireland will be disappointed with the outcomes in the first two T20Is. They were fabulous in the ODIs but could not replicate their performances in the shortest format. However, that’s not surprising as New Zealand played a formidable bowling attack and Ireland batters had no answers to it.
Ireland will hope that the batters can come good in the final game and end the series on a high. They have the batters who can score against quality bowling attack. New Zealand, on the other hand, would like to keep the winning momentum going. However, they may rest a few players to test their bench strength.
The wicket has been a good one to bat. There has not been a lot of movement in the air or of the pitch. Bowlers need to stick to tight lines to make an impact.
The weather will be cloudy throughout the day but there is no threat of rain. However, it will be a cold day with temperature hovering around 12 degrees.
Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie (c), Gareth Delany, Harry Tector, Curtis Campher, Lorcan Tucker (wk), George Dockrell, Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, Craig Young, Joshua Little
Martin Guptill, Finn Allen, Dane Cleaver (wk), Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (c), Ish Sodhi, Lockie Ferguson, Jacob Duffy
We don’t think Ireland will make any changes to the team even after the losses. However, New Zealand may rest a few players to give chances to players sitting on the bench as they have already won the series.
Ireland are yet to beat New Zealand in a T20I match.

Paul Stirling has not played a big innings in the T20Is so far but he is their best batter in this format of the game. He has played some crisp shots but has been dismissed in an attempt to go bonkers. If he can show a bit more maturity and try to stay at the wicket, he could change the fortunes of Ireland team.
Guptill, like Stirling, too has not played a big innings in T20Is but he has looked dangerous. He has played some magnificent shots before getting out. A big inning from him seems around the corner.
Harry Tector has been one of the most consistent Ireland batters across formats in recent times. A couple of failures should not be the parameter to judge his form. He scored 2 hundreds in ODIs and a good knock in T20Is is pending.
He has been bowling really well in the T20I series. He picked up a couple of wickets in the last game and will be keen to perform well in the final T20I as well.
Lockie Ferguson has troubled the Irish batters with his pace and has picked up wickets as well. He will once again be a threat for Ireland.
