Finally, the wait is over for the cricket fanatics as India and Pakistan are set to resume their rivalry in the Asia Cup. The last time these two teams met, Pakistan managed to pick their first win over India in World Cups as they defeated the Men in Blue by 10 wickets in T20 World Cup 2021. It’s an opportunity for team India to seek revenge.
Both India and Pakistan have some decent form behind them. India come into the tournament after winning against England, West Indies and Zimbabwe. Pakistan also thrashed the Netherlands in the ODI series. In terms of T20Is, both teams are laced with some quality players and we are all set for a blockbuster Sunday.
The surface in Dubai generally is on the slower side and gets even slower as the match progresses. Chasing will not be easy. However, if there is dew, things will change and the team batting second will have an advantage as the ball then will skid off the surface.
Rain is never a concern in Dubai. It will be a clear day in Dubai on Sunday with temperatures soaring to 43 degrees during the day. The evenings will be slightly cooler at 30 degrees but it will still be challenging for the players.

The number 1 T20I batter Babar Azam has been in the form of his life. He has been scoring runs for fun and will be the biggest wicket for India in the coming game.
Virat Kohli has not been in great form but he loves playing against Pakistan. Kohli has scored runs at an average of 75 against Pakistan so he will be eager to get on the park and get his form back. Kohli could have a great game against Pakistan.
Babar Azam has been significantly supported by wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan who has been a very good batter for the team. The Babar-Rizwan duo has done tremendously well for Pakistan over the years and they will be eyeing another decent performance to get their Asia Cup campaign off to a winning start.
Jadeja will be a key player in these conditions for India. His four overs with the ball with be very important while he has emerged as one of India’s best batters in recent times down the order.
Dubai offers a wicket that supports the spinners and Chahal has been in great touch of late. Chahal was not part of the team when Pakistan beat India in T20 WC 2021 so it will be a real test for Pakistan against the leg spinner.
