The Indian cricket team is scheduled to tour Ireland for a 3-match T20I series which is set to take place in August. This will be India's 3rd tour to Ireland after the first two visits in 2018 and 2022.
The Ireland squad will be led by the top-order batter Paul Stirling and the BCCI has appointed pacer Jasprit Bumrah as the captain of the Indian side in this series. Bumrah is making a comeback to international cricket after many months as he was going through treatment for his back injury.
Indian team selectors have assembled a new T20I squad consisting of young talent. Rinku Singh is expected to make a T20I debut while Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma and Mukesh Kumar will be playing their 2nd T20I series after coming from West Indies tour lately.
The host team, Ireland, is packed up with their best players who performed well in the previous T20I series against India. They will have Harry Tector, Andrew Balbirnie, Josh Little, Craig Young who gave a good fight to the Indian team last year.
