After ending their IT20 series on Sunday in Sabina Park, Jamaica, West Indies and New Zealand begin their three-match ODI series at the Kensington Oval, Barbados on Wednesday afternoon. West Indies lost their most recent series in this format 3-0 at home to India last month. New Zealand beat Scotland in their last ODI. Read on as we preview this day-night game. After losing the first two IT20s, West Indies restored a bit of pride by winning Sunday’s last game. However, they have a very poor ODI record and are playing against one of the best teams in this format in this match.
New Zealand are on a winning streak which has lasted for over two years in this format. They were too strong for Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands last month but this will be a much tougher test.

After being rested for the final IT20 on Sunday, we expect skipper Nicholas Pooran to come back and lead the team in this game. There is no place in the squad for Rovman Powell or Romario Shepherd with Roston Chase ruled out through injury.
