The UAE elected to bat first after winning the toss last time out and the decision did not pay off. Chasing tends to be the norm in the Emirates.

The UAE stuck with the same team that won the first T20 game last time out, with Mohammad Naveed captain in place of the suspended Rohan Mustafa. Opener Ashfaq Ahmed and wicket-keeper Ghulam Shabber have both been out cheaply in both games, however, and could be options for changes. Chirag Suri is an option to bring in, but he really struggled in the ODI series and does not tend to score quickly enough for the shorter formats.
Shaiman Anwar cemented his place as the UAE's leading T20 run-scorer when he scored 59 from 38 balls as they won the opening game. He also scored 41 against Australia in October and signed off from the ODI series with 87 from 70 balls in the final game.
Mohammad Boota also scored a half-century in that game and followed it up with middle-order runs in the first game of the T20 series too. Chundangapoyil Rizwan top-scored with 44 last time, having hit 22 in the opening game and 45 in the final ODI.
Mohammad Naveed leads the bowling attack. He took 2-19 in the first game and followed that up with 1-18 in the second. Naveed has also played in the Afghanistan Premier League and Global Canada T20 League previously, as well as taking plenty of wickets in the T10 League too.
Sultan Ahmed took 2-26 in the first match of this series and 2-9 from his four overs in the second, while Amir Hayat, Zahoor Khan and Imran Haider have chipped in with the ball too.
The UAE stormed to the top of the table in the ICC World Twenty20 Asian Qualifier Western Sub Region, winning all five group games before Zahoor Khan's 3-16 and Ghulam Shabber's 63 from 46 balls led them to a nine-wicket win in the final against Qatar.
A first ever game against Australia followed, in which they posted 117/6 and lost by seven wickets, before an unofficial match against New Zealand which saw them lose by 37 runs in reply to 161/4.
This series followed and, after scoring a century in their most recent bilateral T20i series against Papua New Guinea, Shaiman Anwar's half-century led them to victory in the first game. Dismissed for 107 last time out, however, the UAE are looking to bounce back from a four-wicket defeat in this decisive third game.

Pawan Sarraf made his T20 international debut last time out, while Lalit Rajbanshi replaced Basant Regmi. The latter had taken two wickets in the first game and was perhaps unlucky to miss out.
Sandeep Lamichhane has taken T20 wickets across the globe and has started this series with 2-25 in the first game and 2-19 in the second.
Sompal Kami was in good all-round form in the ODI series, meanwhile, and has taken 1-16 and 2-15 so far in the T20s, as well as scoring 27 from 19 balls in the first match.
Abinash Bohara took 3-20 last time out, meanwhile, while the man of the match award went to DS Airee, who scored an unbeaten 47, including a six and four in the final over, to lead Nepal to victory.
Captain Paras Khadka fell cheaply but he has already proved himself in the ODI series, when he hit a match-winning century in the series decider. He will hope for a similar impact in this decider, while Sandeep Jora proved he can be a dangerman batting-wise as well, with an unbeaten half-century in the first T20.
Prior to this series, Nepal had proved their dominance in the ICC World Twenty20 Asian Eastern Sub Regional Qualifier, winning five matches and only being denied a sixth by the weather. Sandeep Lamichhane led the way, ripping through the batting line-ups of China, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand, Bhutan and Singapore.
Victories included bowling Myanmar out for 29, Bhutan for 33 and China for 26, while Thailand were 18/9 in the ninth over of their reply to 172/7 when the rain curtailed their innings and spared them an even lower score all out.
Pradeep Airee, Paras Khadka, Karan KC, Gyanendra Malla, Dependra Airee, Sundeep Jora, Pawan Sarraf, Sompal Kami, Basant Regmi, Abinash Bohara, Sandeep Lamichhane
These are the first T20 internationals between these two nations, though Nepal won the ODI series that preceded this thanks to Paras Khadka's match-winning century in the deciding third match.
So far in this series, Shaiman Anwar scored a 38-ball 59 to help UAE win the first game by 21 runs, but Nepal bowled them out for 107 in the second game and DS Airee's unbeaten 47 led the Nepalese to a series-levelling four-wicket win in the final over.
The United Arab Emirates' batsmen failed to shine in the second match of this series but they showed enough in the first game to suggest they can still secure a series win.
Final Verdict: Back United Arab Emirates to beat Nepal
