Tallinn Hippos started the tournament in excellent form. Stuart Hook smashed 81* from 33 balls in a total of 150/1 in an 85-run win against Tallinn Rising Stars before they scored 99/5 and had Rony Zaman’s 3-3 to thank for a 51-run victory against Tartu Vikings.
Tallinn United were handed a much tougher group, however, with the top three teams in the Estonian T20 Premier League all drawn together. They thrashed Eesti Tigers, chasing 73 in just seven overs in a dominant ten-wicket win. They could only score 77/7 in the second game, however – a 50-run defeat to Tallinn Stallions.
