SRH Team News & Playing 11

SRH Team News

Fit-again Kane Williamson returned in place of Shakib Al Hasan last time out and reclaimed the captaincy too. He was one of two changes, with Deepak Hooda also replaced by Shahbaz Nadeem. Though expensive, he did take one of the two wickets to fall too. Having got back to winning ways and chased such a big total, it could be an unchanged team for the third match.

SRH Key Players

David Warner and Jonny Bairstow have shared opening stands of 118 and 110 so far, with both men in great form with the bat. The Australian has led the way, with scores of 85 and 69 so far as he looks to prove himself to the national selectors ahead of the World Cup. Bairstow, meanwhile, hit 39 in the first game and 45 last time out.

Captain Kane Williamson made a modest return last time out, but the New Zealander was last year’s IPL top run scorer - including good knocks in both matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Rashid Khan leads the way with the ball, meanwhile. Joint-top Sunrisers wicket-taker with Siddarth Kaul last year, the in-form Afghanistan leg-spinner has taken 1-26 and 1-24 in his two matches so far this season. He can also score quick runs too, as he proved with an unbeaten 15 from eight balls last time out.

Bhuvi Kumar was expensive last time out, but Kaul claimed 0-32 - control which ultimately proved vital given the high-scoring nature of the game.

SRH Team Form

Sunrisers Hyderabad could not defend 181/3 in their first game of Indian Premier League 2019 season, but David Warner and Rashid Khan both carried the form they showed in that opening match - a six-wicket defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders - into their second game.

The latter took 1-24 as Rajasthan Royals posted 198/2 last time out - two runs cheaper than the opening game - while the big-hitting Aussie followed up his opening-game 85 by leading the chase with 69 from 37 balls. Sunrisers eventually won by five wickets with an over to spare.

SRH Predicted Playing 11

David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Vijay Shankar, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Siddarth Kaul, Shahbaz Nadeem

RCB Team News & Playing 11

RCB Team News

Royal Challengers Bangalore tweaked their batting order last time out but stuck with the same players that had lost so heavily on the opening night. The faith was nearly rewarded too, but RCB may now consider changes after a second defeat.

Marcus Stoinis and Nathan Coulter-Nile will miss the game, as they are still with the Australia squad, but there are other options. One man in danger could be Navdeep Saini, after going wicketless from his eight overs so far and proving the most expensive RCB bowler in each of their first two matches. Kulwant Khejroliya or spinners Prayas Ray Barmand and Washington Sundar are all options to bring in.

RCB Key Players

AB de Villiers was back to his best last time out, following up the good T20 form he has been showing across the globe with an unbeaten 70 from 41 balls. De Villiers hit four fours and six sixes as he posted the 49th T20 half-century of his career.

He was not the only big name back on form last time out either, as captain Virat Kohli scored 46 from 32 balls. The India captain's form remains excellent on the whole for his country and plenty will be expected from him as ever.

Parthiv Patel was the only RCB batsman in double figures first up, and he followed it up with 31 from 22 balls last time out.

With the ball, Yuzvendra Chahal's 4-38 sent a message to the India selectors after being under-used against Australia, and followed up his 1-6 from four overs in the first game. Umesh Yadav took 2-26, meanwhile, as he targets a similar number to his 20 wickets in last season's tournament.

RCB Team Form

Royal Challengers Bangalore were humiliated on the opening night, bowled out for just 70 on their way to a seven-wicket defeat to defending champions Chennai Super Kings.

Last time out they posted a much-improved performance but, despite AB de Villiers' unbeaten 70 from 41 balls, they finished on 181/5 - six runs short of Mumbai Indians' 187/8.

RCB Predicted Playing 11

Virat Kohli, Parthiv Patel, AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, Colin de Grandhomme, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kulwant Khejroliya

  • RCB Top Bowler Unsurprisingly, Yuzvendra Chahal is favourite to be their top bowler but he can still be backed at 3.75 with Betway. Umesh Yadav is 4.25, as is Mohammed Siraj.

SRH Betrally Odds

  • SRH to win match: Sunrisers Hyderabad are 1.66 to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore with Betrally.
