SWD vs LIM T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips, CSA Provincial T20 Cup 2022

South Western Districts will take on Limpopo at Buffalo Park, East London. Match 1 in Pool B of the CSA Provisional T20 Cup 2022/23 begins at 10:00 local time on Friday 30th September.

South Western Districts

The Districts won Pool A in last season’s competition but were knocked out in the Quarter Final stage. They beat Northern Cape and Western Province in their opening two matches before losing to Lions in their final group match. They were defeated by Titans in the last eight.

SWD Batting

Jean du Plessis was the top batter in two matches for South Western Districts last year. The 23 year old right-hander hit 69 runs from 39 balls against Northern Cape and 41 runs from 38 balls against Lions. He has scored centuries in all other formats.

SWD Bowling

28 year old right arm pace bowler, Hershell America, was the standout performer with the ball for South Western Districts in the 2021 CSA Provisional T20 Cup. He took 10 wickets across the tournament including 3-23 against Northern Cape in the opening match.

SWD Form

South Western Districts got off to a brilliant start to the season last year with wins over Northern Cape and Western Province. However, they lost their final group match and then the quarter final clash.

Limpopo

Limpopo had a very poor tournament last year losing all three games by significant margins. They were beaten by Border by eight wickets in their opening match, 120 runs by Warriors in their second game before losing by 32 runs to Boland to end the group stage bottom of Pool D. 

LIM Batting

With three heavy defeats, it is no surprise to see that Limpopo struggled with the bat in all matches last year. Their highest total came in the defeat against Border when Morne Venter hit the only half-century (56 not out from 40 balls) for the team.

LIM Bowling

Limpopo handed out eight debuts during the 2021 tournament with plenty of bowlers getting opportunities. The side conceded 139-2 and 243-6 in their opening two matches but had more joy in the final game against Boland when they restricted them to 141-8.

LIM Form

Although this is a new campaign with some new players on board, Limpopo come into the tournament on a losing run.

The match will be played at Buffalo Park, East London. Expect to see a slow wicket with bowlers who have good variations able to make batting very difficult.
