The Scotland Zimbabwe series is set for a thrilling finish. Having lost the first T20I, Zimbabwe picked up an impressive win in the second T20I. While their batting once again struggled to get going, handy knocks from Craig Ervine and Sean Williams helped them post a respectable 135. Scotland got off to a miserable start and lost a lot of early wickets. However, a 75 run partnership between Richie Berrington and Mattew Cross brought them back in the game. A superb last over where Scotland lost four wickets in four balls sealed the game for Zimbabwe.
Now both teams have some areas to work on before the final, with batting being the main concern. Barring Richie Berrington none looks in form for Scotland. Same can be said about Zimbabwe, who are over-reliant on Craig Ervine and Sean Williams. There is little to separate these two flawed teams and we’ll be in for a crackerjack of a final on Sunday.
