Pakistan are favorites to win
Pakistan need to hit back in the second T20i if they want to avoid a first T20 series defeat since 2016, when they take on South Africa at the Wanderers, Johannesburg. The match is scheduled for February 3, with the live action beginning at 14:30 local time.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first at Newlands but, with another batting wicket expected, they may prefer to set a target this time.

As promised, Gihahn Cloete was handed the gloves in the first T20i - also opening in place of Quinton de Kock after he was ruled out with a groin injury. Lutho Sipamla is still awaiting his debut and could come in for Junior Dala or Beuran Hendricks.
Faf du Plessis continued his fine batting form with a top score of 78 from 45 balls in the first T20 of this series. The South African captain also hit 40*, 57 and 50* in the final three ODIs to prove he is bang in form.
Reeza Hendricks starred alongside him in the first match, scoring 74 from 41 balls at the top of the order. He also hit 83* in the third ODI and hit two centuries on his way to passing 400 runs in the recent Mzansi Super League.
Rassie van der Dussen was top scorer in the Mzansi Super League, meanwhile, and came into this series on the back of three half-centuries in the one-dayers.
With the ball, Andile Phehlukwayo took 1-27 from his four overs - the most economical of the South African bowlers - having taken eight wickets in the ODIs too.
Tabraiz Shamsi leads the spin attack, meanwhile. He took 2-33 last time out, having claimed ten from his eight innings in the Mzansi Super League.
South Africa were in good form in T20 cricket ahead of this series, bouncing back from a three-wicket defeat - having been bowled out for 98 - to Sri Lanka beforehand.
First, they beat Zimbabwe twice with Rassie van der Dussen's debut half-century and Imran Tahir's five-wicket haul earning victory in the first game, before restricting Zimbabwe to 132/7 on their way to a six-wicket win - with 28 balls to spare - in the second. The final game was washed out.
Against Australia, in their most recent match prior to this series, the match was reduced to ten overs and a rapid opening partnership helped them to 108/6 - a score which proved 21 runs too many for Australia.

With Sarfraz Ahmed suspended, Mohammad Rizwan is keeping wicket and Shoaib Malik is the Pakistan captain. Mohammad Amir is back in the squad, but Hasan Ali and Usman Shinwari were preferred in the first game of the series. Amir and Mohammad Hafeez are among the players who could come in for this game.
Babar Azam was in top batting form against Australia and New Zealand, scoring 126 in three games against the former and 163 against the latter - including two half-centuries. Last time out, against South Africa, he hit 38 from 27 balls before being run out.
Shoaib Malik actually top scored, hitting 49 from 31 balls, while Hussain Talat contributed 40 from 32 balls. Mohammad Hafeez was in good form against New Zealand and Australia, meanwhile, with 243 runs across the six games.
Usman Shinwari was their top bowler last time out, taking 3-31 from his four overs. Shadab Khan took ten wickets against Australia and New Zealand combined but was wicketless last time out. Imad Wasim took eight in those two series, and his economy rate was again impressive last time out as he took 1-23 from his four overs.
Pakistan had won 15 of the 16 previous T20 matches prior to the defeat to South Africa in the first game in this series. They whitewashed both Australia and New Zealand at home most recently.
They set the tone well, bowling the Aussies out for 89 in reply to 155/8 to win the first game of that series. They then restricted Australia to 136/8 in an 11-run win next up. Babar Azam's half-century and Shadab Khan's 3-19 from four overs then helped seal a whitewash - Australia all out for 117 in reply to 150/5.
Against New Zealand it was much closer - in the first two games at least. Defending 148/6, they won the first game by just two runs and then reached 154/4 to win the second with just two balls to spare - Mohammad Hafeez's late hitting making the difference. In the third game, Azam scored 79 and Hafeez 53* in a total of 166/3, before they dismissed New Zealand for 119 for another series whitewash.
Last time out, however, they finished just six runs short of South Africa's 192/6, closing on 186/9, as their winning streak came to an end.

South Africa's win in the first game of this series takes them to seven wins in 12 previous T20 matches against Pakistan. They had not met in the format since Pakistan's tour of South Africa in November 2013, however.
They shared that series - South Africa winning a rain-affected first game before Pakistan claimed a six-run win in the second - and had not played since until the game at Newlands that opened this series.
On that occasion Faf du Plessis (78) and Reeza Hendricks (74) made the difference for South Africa as their score of 192/6 proved just six runs too many for their Pakistani tourists.
After winning the first game in the series, South Africa are 1.80 to win the second too, but Pakistan might be worth backing at 2.00 with Bet365.
Faf du Plessis and Reeza Hendricks are both 4.50 with Bet365 to be the hosts' top batsman after their impressive form in the first match, but Rassie van der Dussen should not be discounted at 5.50.
Babar Azam showed signs that he is still in good batting form too, and he is 4.00 with Bet365 to top score for Pakistan.
Lutho Sipamla could be set for a debut for South Africa and, after his Mzansi Super League bowling form, he is 4.00 to be their top bowler.
Pakistan have not lost a bilateral T20 international series since 2016 and they can win this second T20 to keep the series alive against South Africa.
Final Verdict: Back Pakistan to beat South Africa at 2.00 with Bet365.
