SCO vs HEA T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips, BBL 2023
Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat go head to head in Match 33 of the 2022-23 Big Bash League on Saturday evening at the Perth Stadium. The Scorchers are top of the table but lost their last game. Heat are next to bottom of the table but are unbeaten in their last two fixtures. Read on as we preview this match. The game gets underway in Perth on January 7th at 20:45 local time.
Perth Scorchers won the tournament last year and in spite of losing to their nearest challengers, Sydney Thunder in the last game, we expect them to be too strong in all departments for Brisbane Heat.
Brisbane Heat were on course for a big score when the rain came against Sydney Sixers and will want to prove they can compete with the big teams. However, Perth Scorchers will be even tougher opposition in this game.

Perth Scorchers Team News & Playing 11
SCO Team News
Jhye Richardson and Aaron Hardie have both gone down with injuries and are expected to miss this game. Richardson, the Scorchers top wicket taker, will miss the next two weeks. Faf du Plessis has finished his BBL stint and we expect Stevie Eskinazi to replace him in the team.
SCO Key Players
- Josh Inglis - There was a top order batting collapse during the defeat to Sydney Thunder and it didn't spare Inglis. However, he has hit 240 runs across the BBL 2022-2023 so far and will be keen to get back into form in this match.
- Ashton Turner - The skipper has been in excellent form with vital lower order contributions over recent games. He hit 61 runs from 37 balls in the last game.
- Andrew Tye - Only Sean Abbott has taken more wickets in the history of this competition than Tye. He is having another strong season and will lead the attack in Richardson’s absence.
The Scorchers had won four in a row before they were beaten by second placed Sydney Thunder by six wickets on Wednesday.

Brisbane Heat Team News & Playing 11
HEA Team News
As has been the case for the majority of the campaign, it is only international Test call-ups which have prevented Brisbane Heat fielding their best XI. Matt Renshaw, Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja are all playing at the SCG at the moment but Michael Neser is available for this game.
HEA Key Players
- Colin Munro - In the game which ended as a no-result on Wednesday, Munro continued his recent good form with 38 runs from only 14 balls.
- Nathan McSweeney - The 23 year old all-rounder has been very impressive with the bat in both of his appearances. In this match he will be looking to build on scores of 28 not out and 84.
- Michael Neser - The pace bowling all-rounder hit 45 not out before the rain came against Sydney Sixers. He did not get a chance to bowl and will be well refreshed in time for this clash.
Although Brisbane Heat are at the bottom end of the table, they have picked up three points from their last two matches.

Who will win Perth Scorchers vs Brisbane Heat T20 Match?
Perth Scorchers’ batting has not been as strong as their bowling in this competition. With the ball, they have pace, consistency and accuracy, something all other teams would wish for. We expect the bowling to be too accurate for Brisbane Heat.
🏆 Perth Scorchers vs Brisbane Heat Prediction
Brisbane Heat showed fight in the game against Sydney Sixers and, in Colin Munro, Michael Neser, Nathan McSweeney and James Bazley, have players in form. However, whether those will be enough to trouble the top of the table side remains to be seen. Perth Scorchers will be weaker without Jhye Richardson but will have an excellent team. They have slipped up in only two games so far in this campaign and we are predicting them to get back to winning ways in this match.
