Australia have only won the toss once so far, so law of averages suggests they are due a win. They have won chasing and setting so far, however, so it may not make too big a difference.
Read on for team previews, betting tips, latest odds and match prediction for Pakistan vs Australia, 5th ODI.
Abid Ali and Saad Ali made their ODI debuts last time out, taking the total number of Pakistani debutants in this series to five after Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Abbas and Shan Masood all made their 50-over international bows too. Imad Wasim captained the team last time out, and there has been no place for Mohammad Amir since the opening game. Shoaib Malik will definitely miss out with injury, but there could be room for more rotation with one eye on the World Cup.
Mohammad Rizwan hit his second century of the series when he scored 104 in the fourth ODI – he also hit 115 in the first match, his first two centuries in one day internationals.
Haris Sohail also has an unbeaten century to his name, and 161 runs in total, while Abid Ali marked his Pakistan ODI debut with 112 last time out.
The problem has been a lack of wickets, but Mohammad Hasnain claimed 2-52 last time out – his first two ODI wickets – and Usman Shinwari boasts an economy rate of 4.73 so far to serve up plenty of control.
Yasir Shah is their leading wicket-taker so far, with four from four matches.
Pakistan's batting form has mostly been good in this series but they have simply been outclassed by Australia. Haris Sohail's unbeaten century helped them to 280/5 in the first match, but they lost by eight wickets with an over to spare, before Mohammad Rizwan hit 115 in vain in the second game as Pakistan failed to defend 284/7 in another eight-wicket defeat.
Their only big failure was falling for 186 in reply to 266/6 in the next match, but they were much improved last time out. Centuries for Abid Ali (112) and Rizwan (104) helped them to 271/8 but they suffered a six-run defeat.
Pakistan have now lost their last two ODI series as a result of their defeats to Australia.

Ashton Turner will surely be given a final chance to impress the selectors and stake his claim for a World Cup place having been the only one of Australia’s touring party not to feature so far. There could also be rotation for Pat Cummins and Jason Behrendorff to return. The latter missed out with illness last time, while Cummins was rested.
With Aaron Finch in sublime form at the top of the order, Australia have dominated this series. He scored 116, 153* and 90 in his first three innings and has 398 runs at an average of 132.66 so far.
Nobody else has passed 100 for Australia in this series, but Glenn Maxwell came close with 98 from 82 balls to earn the man-of-the-match award last time out. He was one of three Australia batsman to pass 50, with Usman Khawaja and Alex Carey the other two.
With David Warner in sublime batting form in the IPL, and Steve Smith available again too, this match surely represents a last chance for Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb and Ashton Turner to prove themselves worthy of what could be just one World Cup batting starting spot.
On the bowling front, Australia have rotated their pacemen but Nathan Coulter-Nile has seven wickets from three games so far. Pat Cummins, their star man against India, took 3-23 in his only appearance so far. Spinners Nathan Lyon and Adam Zampa have ten wickets between them, meanwhile, with economy rates of less than five runs per over.
Australia won three ODIs in a row to beat India and have consequently now won seven in a row thanks to their success in the first four games of this series.
Their batting has been the biggest factor - not least captain Aaron Finch. He was Australia’s top scorer in each of the first three matches, scoring centuries as they won each of the first two games by eight wickets.
Electing to bat first next up, Finch scored 90 and Australia posted 266/6 before Adam Zampa claimed 4-43 to help bowl Pakistan out for 186.
Last time out, meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell was top batsman for the tourists with 98 in a total of 277/7. Pakistan looked well set during the reply, but some late wickets turned the tide and Australia eventually won by six runs.

Four wins from four in this series takes Australia to 66 wins in 102 ODIs, compared to 32 Pakistan wins. One tie and three no results complete the stat.
In this series, Pakistan’s inability to take wickets has hampered them. The Australians scored 281/2 and 285/2 in eight-wicket wins in the first two matches, before they defended 266/6 and 277/7 in the next two matches. Pakistan were all out 80 runs short in the first of those matches, but may feel they were in a winning position in the fourth ODI before finishing six runs down on 271/8.
Pakistan pushed Australia close in the fourth ODI and Australia’s price has actually gone out slightly as a result. They are 1.57 to win and wrap up a series whitewash, whereas Pakistan are 2.37.
Aaron Finch has been in sublime form, and he is 3.75 to be Australia’s top batsman for the fourth time in this series. That honour befell Glenn Maxwell last time out, who is 4.50.
Pakistan have Mohammad Rizwan in good form, meanwhile. After two centuries in the series, he is 5.50 to be their top batsman again. Abid Ali, a centurion on his ODI debut, is 4.75.
You can get 1.80 from Bet365 on there being a century in this game, meanwhile – there have been six in four games so far.
Australia have outclassed Pakistan so far, despite a few highlights in the Pakistan batting line-up. The Aussies can now wrap up a series win
