Nepal are favorites to win
Oman will take on Nepal in the final of the T20 World Cup Asia Finals. The match will be played at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur and will start at 8:45 AM IST on November 5.
The pitch is a good one to bat. Any batter who stays at the wicket for long will be able to score runs. Batters need to play the ball on the merit and runs will come. Bowlers too can trouble the batters by bowling in right areas but there will not be much help from the surface.

Oman continued the winning run and defeated Bahrain in the semifinal by 10 wickets. Having bowled out Bahrain for 106, the team won the match in just the 15th over. Oman beat Nepal in league stage so they will be confident heading into the final.
Zeeshan Maqsood, Kayshyap Prajapati and Pratik Athavale can be backed as best batters. Maqsood has been very consistent for Oman in the tournament, scoring 114 runs while Prajapati and Pratik returned to form in last game and scored 57 and 50 respectively. The innings will give the pair great confidence heading into the final.
The bowling will rest on the shoulders of Bilal Khan and Zeeshan Maqsood and Aqib Ilyas. Ilyas had a great game against Bahrain and picked four wickets while Maqsood and Bilal also chipped in with a wicket each. The trio will be eyeing another good show with the ball in the final.
Oman have been brilliant in the qualifiers, winning all games. Their batting looked out of touch but a comprehensive win over Bahrain will give them great confidence.

Nepal also picked up a comprehensive win over UAE. The team restricted UAE to 134-9 before chasing the target in the 18th over. The win has also ensured Nepal’s berth in T20 World Cup 2024.
Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh form a formidable opening pair. Bhurtel has scored 154 runs in the tournament while Aasif scored a blazing fifty in the previous game. Rohit Paudel also played a good hand of 34 in the semis.
Karan KC, Kushal Malla and Sandeep Lamichhane have been in good form in the tournament. All bowlers had a good outing against UAE. While Karan did not pick a wicket, he looked in good rhythm. Malla, on the other hand, picked three wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane bagged a brace.
Nepal did lose one game to Oman in the league stage but they by far have been the best team of the tournament.

Oman beat Nepal in the league stage but Nepal is a far superior side and has been playing good cricket consistently. Oman will be confident going into the match but we feel Nepal won’t allow them to pick a win this time around. Nepal are favourites for us.
