Who will win NED vs PNG Final, T20 WCQ 2019?
The final of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier – a match which will determine their final seeding at next year’s tournament – pits the Netherlands against the only team to have beaten them in this qualifier so far, Papua New Guinea. The match takes place on November 2 at the Dubbai International Cricket Stadium and the live action starts at 19:30 local time.
Papua New Guinea were the first team to reach the World Cup through this qualifier – the Barras winning five of their six group games, including against the Dutch, to top the group on net run rate. They have since beaten Namibia to reach this final and a re-match with the Dutch.
Defeat to Papua New Guinea, despite being their only one of the tournament, meant the Netherlands had to qualify for the World Cup through the play-offs. Victories against the UAE and Ireland mean they could still finish as the top-seeded qualifier, however.
