KEN vs NEP 5th T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips

Kenya will take on Nepal in the fifth and final game of this IT20 series. The game will be played at the Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi starting at 13:00 local time on Tuesday 30th August.

Kenya squared the series for the second time when they beat Nepal by seven runs in Nairobi on Sunday. After posting 101 all out from their 20 overs, it looked like the series would be over by the end of Nepal’s innings. But some fine bowling and 10 batters making single figure scores means that the home side can win the series if they win this final match. Only three of Kenya’s batters made double figures, experienced opener Collins Obuya hit 20 before numbers eight and nine, Lucas Oluoch and captain Shem Ngoche scored 29 and 13 respectively. Oluoch hit 29 runs from only 18 balls at a strike-rate of 161.11. With the ball, Vraj Patel took another two wicket haul but it was off-spinner Rakep Patel who registered his best IT20 figures of 3-19 who caused the most damage.

Nepal will still be wondering how they lost Monday’s fourth game of the series. Firstly, they will have been very disappointed to let Kenya post 101 after having them in real trouble at 48-6 early in the 14th over. Captain Sandeep Lamichhane was not far from being unplayable and recorded his first ever IT20 five-wicket haul. From his four overs, he conceded only nine runs. However, Nepal were completely off the pace with the bat in hand and if it had not been for Rohit Paudel’s 47 runs from 55 balls, they would have lost by far more than the seven run margin. Alongside Paudel, keeper-batter Arjun Saud was the only other player to hit a boundary in the innings and this performance is one which Nepal will want to move on from very quickly.
