With the ball, Ireland Women took only 3 wickets but kept the run-rate extremely low as Germany Women posted only 32-3 from 20 overs. Eimear Richardson took 2-5 from three overs with Lara Maritz chipping in with the other wicket in the innings. This game will be a far tougher test.

Scotland Women’s opening game was cancelled after Turkey Women were unable to get clearance to travel from the Turkish Sports Ministry. As a result, Scotland Women will be short of match practice but, in reality, Turkey Women probably would not have posed a great threat or produced much of a contest. Scotland Women toured Ireland in May of this year and lost the four match WT20I series 3-1 in spite of going 1-0 up. Captain Kathryn Bryce impressed with the bat during the series with Katie McGill leading the bowling attack and finishing up with 7 wickets.
