Toss Prediction
Five of the last six one-day internationals (including the first game of the ongoing series) played at this ground have been won by the side batting first. Since bowlers tend to get more support from the pitch here during the second period of play, the toss-winning captain is more likely to bat first.

Ireland Team News & Playing 11
IRE Team News
Ireland, despite going down in the series opener, are expected to retain the entire line-up for the second one-day international as they are already playing with their strongest eleven. None of their players were reported to be injured at the time of writing.
IRE Key Players
William Porterfield has scored the most runs for Ireland in the 50-overs format and the skipper will be expected to lead from the front. His opening partner Paul Stirling has an ODI average of a little over 35 and it will be crucial that he forms a healthy partnership with Porterfield. Andrew Balbirnie hit a fifty in the first game and the team will want him to bring that form into this match. Kevin O'Brien can be dangerous in the middle order due to his big-hitting abilities. Tim Murtagh, Boyd Rankin and Peter Chase will be the go-to men for Ireland when it comes to bowling. Murtagh and Rankin took seven wickets between them last time and once again it will be up to these two to provide the early breakthroughs. Rankin is more experienced and successful of the three and so he will be Ireland's key man with the ball.
IRE Recent Form
Ireland have won seven and lost four out of the eleven one-day internationals they have played this year. The 29-run defeat they faced in the first ODI of the ongoing series was their fourth loss in the last six matches. Ireland's bowlers did a pretty good job last time out and kept them in the game by restricting Afghanistan to 227 but their batsmen let them down as they could manage only 198 in the end.
Ireland Predicted Playing 11

Afghanistan Team News & Playing 11
AFG Team News
Afghanistan have no injury issues to deal with ahead of this second ODI as all their players seem to be physically fit. The visitors won the last game and they may not want to tinker with the winning combination. So we expect Afghanistan to come up with an unchanged line-up.
AFG Key Players
Gulbadin Naib and Hashmatullah Shahidi struck twin half-centuries in the opening game of the series and so there will be high expectations on them going into this game. Gulbadin has five fifties in the 50-overs format and he will be the key man for Afghanistan at the top of the order. Skipper Asghar Afghan has also done well with the bat in the past and he together with Mohammad Nabi who is the team's leading ODI run-getter are the key figures in the middle order. Nabi has also taken the most ODI wickets for Afghanistan and he is one of the major threats in this bowling attack. Rashid Khan is ranked second in the ICC ODI rankings for bowlers. The leg-spinner took two wickets in the last game and he is likely to produce another fine bowling performance here. Aftab Alam was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2-34 from 9 overs and Ireland will have to watch out for him as well.
AFG Recent Form
Afghanistan have now won nine out of the thirteen one-day internationals they have played so far this year. Their victory in the first match of this series was their fifth consecutive win in the 50-overs format. They last lost an ODI earlier this year in March at the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier against Hong Kong by 30 runs (D/L method). Afghanistan will be very pleased with their bowling effort in the last game as they managed to defend a modest total of 227.
Afghanistan Predicted Playing 11
Hazratullah Zazai, Ihsanullah Janat, Gulbadin Naib, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Asghar Afghan (c), Mohammad Nabi, Shafiqullah Shafiq (wk), Rashid Khan, Aftab Alam, Mujeeb Ur Rahman
