Who will win India vs Sri Lanka, 2nd T20 2020?
India and Sri Lanka move Indore’s Holkar Stadium as they look to get back into the action in this T20i series after rain ruined the first match in Guwahati. The second game takes place on January 7 and is scheduled to start at 19:00 local time.
India have rested Rohit Sharma for the series, but fit-again Shikhar Dhawan will replace him at the top of the order to partner in-form Lokesh Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah is back in the bowling attack.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, are without Nuwan Pradeep as they look to restore some pride after a 3-0 thrashing in Australia. They are very much outsiders for this series, however.

India Team News & Playing 11
IND Team News
Shikhar Dhawan and Jasprit Bumrah were both set to return after being named in the starting XI in Guwahati. Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami are both being rested for this series, handing an easy way back for the two fit-again stars.
IND Key Players
KL Rahul: Central to both wins against West Indies in India’s last T20i series, maintaining his excellent record in the format. He will now partner Shikhar Dhawan, rather than Rohit Sharma, but will hope for similar success.
Virat Kohli: Like Rahul, Kohli starred in both wins in the last series – scoring his 1,000th T20i run in his home country too. His T20i average is north of the 50-mark to prove as ever he is a man for all formats.
Jasprit Bumrah: It is not just the fact Bumrah is an excellent death bowler in T20 cricket and take wickets at key moments, but the fact he is so economical for a pace bowler in the format too.
IND Team Form
India are looking to build on series wins against Bangladesh and West Indies. They came from behind to beat the former, while Virat Kohli and KL Rahul starred with the bat in their two wins against West Indies – albeit they suffered defeat in the second game of that series.
India Predicted Playing 11
Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant (wk), Virat Kohli (c), Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah
Sri Lanka Team News & Playing 11
SL Team News
Angelo Mathews has been recalled to the Sri Lanka squad but he was not named in the starting XI for the first game. Other notable players missing were Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella. In Nuwan Pradeep’s absence, Isuru Udana returned to the team.
SL Key Players
Lasith Malinga: That he even managed to keep his economy rate low in the T10 League in November is a testament to his skill as a one-day bowler. His mix of slingy fast bowling, yorkers and slower balls have made him a modern-day legend.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa: Profited massively from the mass boycott of Sri Lanka’s tour of Pakistan by senior players. In their absence, he hit 77 from 48 balls in the second game and hit 96* for Comilla Warriors in the BPL just before joining this tour.
Kusal Perera: Scored a half-century in the only decent batting performance of Sri Lanka’s 3-0 series defeat to Australia to end a good year on a personal level with another positive of sorts.
SL Team Form
Sri Lanka won all three matches they played in Pakistan despite being without the majority of their experienced stars. When their regulars returned for their tour of Australia, however, their fortunes reversed – suffering three heavy defeats on the road. They posted 99/9 in reply to 233/2 in the first game, which set the tone, before being bowled out for 117 in a nine-wicket defeat in the second and then being unable to defend 142/6 in the third.
Sri Lanka Predicted Playing 11
Avishka Fernando, Danushka Gunathilaka, Kusal Perera (wk), Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Oshada Fernando, Dhananjaya de Silva, Dasun Shanaka, Wanindu Hasaranga, Lasith Malinga (c), Isuru Udana, Lahiru Kumara
