Who will win India vs Bangladesh, 2nd T20 2019?
No Shakib-al-Hasan? No problem. Bangladesh carry a 1-0 series lead into their second match of this three-game T20i series with India, after winning in Delhi. The match, at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot, takes place on November 7 and starts at 19:00 local time.
Despite being rocked by news of their star all-rounder’s suspension, and having Tamim Iqbal drop out due to the birth of his second child, Bangladesh won the opener as Mushfiqur Rahim hit 60* and the Tigers chased 149 in 19.3 overs.
India remain favourites for this series, however – they had previously won all eight T20i matches they had played against Bangladesh – and the hosts are expected to hit back. Rohit Sharma could be a key figure as he captains the team on his 100th T20i appearance. The biggest threat could be the weather though, with Cyclone Maha heading to Gujarat.

IND vs BAN Toss Prediction
Bangladesh won the toss and correctly opted to field first in Delhi last time out. Rajkot is a batting wicket, however, and Rohit Sharma might want to get an early bat in should he win the toss this time.
IND vs BAN Weather Report
Cricket fans are currently cyclone watching in Gujarat, with Cyclone ‘Maya’ on its way. The cyclone is expected to make landfall the previous night, which would bring with it heavy rains and extreme stormy conditions.
IND vs BAN Pitch Condition
The wicket at Rajkot has favoured batsmen in all formats, with a clean bounce allowing for run accumulation in the longer formats and big-hitting in these T20 internationals.

India Team News & Playing 11
IND Team News
Shivam Dube made his India T20i debut last time out, replacing Hardik Pandya who, along with Jasprit Bumrah is recovering from back surgery. Virat Kohli is also rested and Bhuvneshwar Kumar is unavailable. It means KL Rahul returned at number three, while Deepak Chahar and Khaleel Ahmed led the pace attack.
IND Key Players
Rohit Sharma: The stand-in India captain will play in his 100th T20 international. In his previous 99, he has hit 2,452 runs – including four centuries and 17 half-centuries.
Shikhar Dhawan: After scores of 40 and 36 against South Africa, he added 41 in the first match of this series – albeit from 42 balls. Those all represent excellent platforms from which he can kick on, however.
Deepak Chahar: Bowled eight dot balls on his way to figures of 1-24 from three overs last time out, as he looks to continue the form that saw him take more IPL wickets than any other Indian this year.
IND Team Form
India have now lost their two most recent T20 internationals. First, a result which levelled their series with South Africa and now a defeat to Bangladesh at the start of this series. They posted 148/6 from their 20 overs, though that was perhaps a little sluggish and owed much to Washington Sundar’s late flurry. It proved below par too, as Bangladesh claimed a seven-wicket win with three balls remaining.
India Predicted Playing 11
Rohit Sharma (c), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant (wk), Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Krunal Pandya, Washington Sundar, Deepak Chahar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Khaleel Ahmed
Bangladesh Team News & Playing 11
BAN Team News
Mohammad Naim stepped into the team for his T20i debut last time out as Bangladesh look to find a replacement for suspended Shakib-al-Hasan and currently unavailable Tamim Iqbal in the top order.
BAN Key Players
Mushfiqur Rahim: Hammered eight fours and a six on his way to a match-winning unbeaten 60 from 43 balls in the first match of the series. It was the wicket-keeper-batsmen’s fifth T20i half-century.
Liton Das: Dismissed in the first over last time out, but he has the best T20i strike rate of all the Bangladeshi batsmen, so his value is undoubted at the top of the order.
Mahmudullah: Going into this series, only Tamim Iqbal and Shakib-al-Hasan had more T20i runs for Bangladesh than the stand-in captain, and he proved his worth with an unbeaten 15 from seven balls to seal victory last time out.
BAN Team Form
After winning three of their four games at the Tri Series with Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, Bangladesh continued their winning form despite the shock of Shakib-al-Hasan’s ban ahead of this tour. Afif Hossain took 1-11 from three overs and Aminul Islam 2-22 as they restricted India to 148/6. Mushfiqur Rahim then hit a perfectly-judged 60* from 43 balls to seal a seven-wicket victory in the final over.
Bangladesh Predicted Playing 11
Liton Das, Mohammad Naim, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah (c), Afif Hossain, Mosaddek Hossain, Aminul Islam, Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain
India vs Bangladesh Head to Head
India’s eight-match winning streak against Bangladesh, which most recently included three wins from three at the Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka, ended in the first game of this series. Mushfiqur Rahim hit 60* as Bangladesh chased 149 to win in the final over.
