Who will win Hong Kong vs Nigeria, T20 WCQ 2019?
Hong Kong need to beat bottom team Nigeria by a big margin if they are to stand any chance of reaching the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier play-offs. The match at the Tolerance Oval, Abu Dhabi, takes place on October 27 and the starts at 14:10 local time.
This is the final group game for both teams, and Hong Kong come into it on the back of two wins – results which mean a big win against Nigeria could see them sneak fourth place, and the final play-off spot. They would still need other results to go their way, however.
Nevertheless, with Nigeria outclassed in Group B, having only qualified through default, Hong Kong remain in with a chance of reaching the play-offs. Kinchit Shah was their top batsman against Canada, and he could play a pivotal role again.

Kinchit Shah: Man of the match after scoring an unbeaten 59 last time out, to add to the 79 he scored in the opening game against Ireland. He also took 2-31 in the win against Jersey but did not bowl last time out.
Kyle Christie: Two wickets last time out, on his way to figures of 2-23, means he now has nine T20i wickets in his nine matches so far.
Nizakat Khan: Out cheap last time out, but he hit 31, 31 and 48 in his three previous innings to prove his value at the top of the order.

After defeats to Ireland, Oman and then the UAE, Hong Kong looked down and out. They have come back well, however. First, Nizakat Khan’s 48 from 30 balls helped them to 144/7 against Jersey and they then restricted them to 136/6 in reply.
Then, Kinchit Shah hit an unbeaten 59 from 48 balls in a total of 150/7 against Canada, and some excellent bowling – led by Nasrulla Rana’s 3-25 – helped them restrict Canada to just 118/9. The 32-run win means they still stand a slim chance of the play-offs.

NGA Team Form
Prior to facing Ireland, Nigeria had already lost four from four in this tournament. Their batting scores reflect the difference between themselves and the more established teams at the moment – 115/7 against Jersey, 109/8 against Canada, a dismal 71 all out against Oman and then 111/3 against the UAE.
The future could be bright, given their under-19s have qualified for next year’s World Cup, but for now they are not at the level of other teams in this tournament.
