DOL vs TIT T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips, CSA T20 Challenge 2022

Dolphins will take on Titans at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. Match 1 of the CSA T20 Challenge gets underway at 14:30 local time on Sunday, October 16th.

Dolphins

Although they got knocked out in the semi-final stage, the 2022 CSA T20 Challenge earlier this year was a strong tournament for Dolphins. During the group stage, Dolphins won four matches and lost three games, finishing in third place with 17 points.

DOL Batting

Only one Dolphins batter, Khaya Zondo, scored over 200 runs in the tournament in February. The right-handed 32 year old hit a top score of 59 not out but he will be without team-mate David Miller, who is at the T20 World Cup, in this campaign. Internationals, Sarel Erwee and Keegan Petersen, will be expected to make big contributions.

DOL Bowling

24 year old right arm pace bowler Eathan Bosch was the top wicket taker for Dolphins in the last competition with eight dismissals from only four games. If he can stay fit throughout this tournament then he will lead the attack in every match.

DOL Form

Dolphins won two and lost two of their final four games in the last T20 Challenge.

Titans 

After finishing top of the group stage in February’s CSA T20 Challenge with six wins from seven games, Titans went all the way to the final but were then beaten by Rocks, who had finished seven points behind them in the league, by 15 runs. 

TIT Batting

The runs of Heinrich Klaasen (253) and Quinton de Kock (211) took Titans to the final but both players will be in Australia at the T20 World Cup. As a result, Theunis de Bruyn, who hit 197 runs in February, will need to take on additional responsibility. 

TIT Bowling

Tabraiz Shamsi is another player who will be on international duty throughout this tournament and he is a big loss for Titans as he was the top wicket taker with 13 dismissals at 19.00 earlier this year. Matthew Boast has impressed for South Africa U-19s over recent months and his pace bowling will suit this wicket.

TIT Form

Titans won six successive games before losing in the final in the last T20 Challenge campaign.

The match will be played at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. The surface will be hard and bouncy and we expect a par score to be over 180.
