Narayan Jagadeesan: Scored 12 fours and a six on his way to an unbeaten 87 from 51 balls last time out, including a century opening partnership. He might not be captain any more, but he still has an important role to play at the top of the order and behind the stumps.

M Silambarasan bowled Dindigul Dragons to victory in the first game, when they defended 115/9 against Chepauk Super Gillies. He took 4-13 as the Gillies were restricted to just 105/9.
He was at it again last time out too, though the Dragons’ batting was much improved – Narayan Jagadeesan (87*) and C Hari Nishanth (57) sharing a century opening partnership in a total of 182/6. Silambarasan (4-20) and Ravi Ashwin (3-16) then spun Dindigul to victory as Madurai Panthers posted just 152/9.

S Senthil Nathan opened the batting, while V Athisayaraj Davidson opened the bowling. They were rewarded with a six-run win and could stick with that same team, despite Senthil Nathan falling first ball.

Akshay Srinivasan: Scored 55 in the opening game before the batting collapse and then followed it up with 31 last time out. The 25-year-old showed flashes of what to expect with some good starts last year too.
Dakshinamoorthy Kumaran: The veteran medium-pacer took 2-18 last time out, keeping things tidy from end. His economy rate proved vital in the rain-reduced game.
V Subramania Siva: Scored 28 in the first game and followed that with a top score of 44 last time out. Along with Srinivasan, he has scored useful top-order runs and this time he was rewarded when the middle-order built on them.

TUTI Patriots suffered a chastising defeat in their opening game, when they failed to build on the good start provided by Akshay Srinivasan’s 55. They posted just 124/8 and lost by nine wickets in just 12.1 overs.
After ringing the changes, however, they posted 155/5 against Lyca Kovai Kings last time out in a 13-over game. In reply, the Kovai Kings posted 149/7.
