Mumbai Indians have been unchanged for their last three matches but must surely be considering changes after another defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad last time out. Mumbai's biggest issues have been their death bowling and their batting, with New Zealander Adam Milne - flown over as a replacement for injured Pat Cummins - one option to fix the first issue. Batting wise, Saurabh Tiwary is among the batsmen waiting in the wings. Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting is another possible option, which could mean one of the West Indian duo of Evin Lewis and Kieron Pollard making way as Mumbai look to better balance their overseas contingent.

Key Players

For all their disappointment so far, batsman Suryakamur Yadav has at least been in good form. Ironically the only game he hasn't scored well in (or scored at all for that matter) was the win against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the other five games he has passed 50 twice, and scored 230 runs in total. Rohit Sharma hit 94 in the win against Royal Challengers Bangalore, and a mark of his importance has been the fact that Mumbai have failed to win any of the other five games, in which Sharma has not scored more than 18. Mumbai are still waiting to see the best of big-hitting Evin Lewis too, who has scored just one half-century so far. With the ball, Mayank Markande has been in superb form however - he has taken ten wickets to lead the bowling charts so far, at an average of 14.3 and an impressive economy rate of 7.15. On average, Markande has taken a wicket every two overs so far. He has been backed up by Hardik Pandya and Mustafizur Rahman, who both have seven wickets apiece.

Recent Form

In a game of fine margins, Mumbai Indians have lost five of their opening six games but it could have been so very different. They lost their first match to Chennai Super Kings by one wicket with one ball remaining, then went even closer against Sunrisers Hyderabad, who won by one wicket off the last ball of the game. Next up, Delhi Daredevils beat them from the last ball of the game, despite Mumbai posting 194/6 from their 20 overs, before they finally earned a win - 213/6 proving 46 runs too much for Royal Challengers Bangalore to chase down. They could not follow that victory up, however, losing in the last over against Rajasthan Royals before a low-scoring defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad in their most recent game at the Wankhede Stadium. The home team were dismissed for 87, chasing just 119 to win.
