CSK vs KXIP Head to Head
Chennai have won 12 of their 20 matches against Kings XI Punjab, with seven defeats and one further loss in a super over. They each won one apiece last year, however, when Chennai returned to the IPL after a two-year ban.
In the first match, Kings XI Punjab posted 197/7, powered by 63 from 33 runs by Chris Gayle, and Chennai came up just short – MS Dhoni’s unbeaten 79 from 44 balls not quite enough as they finished on 193/5 despite hitting 30 off the last ten balls.
In the second fixture, however, Lungi Ngidi took 4-10 from four overs as Kings XI were bowled out for 153. Suresh Raina’s unbeaten 61 led the Super Kings to a five-wicket win.

- KXIP Top Bowler: Sam Curran was top bowler last time out and is 3.50 to repeat the feat again. If the Chennai pitch turns, however, Ravi Ashwin (3.60) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (5.00) could be better bets.

- Man of the Match: After his all-round heroics in the win against Mumbai Indians, Sam Curran is 11.00 to be named man of the match again.

CSK vs KXIP Prediction
Chennai Super Kings might have lost their unbeaten streak last time out, but they are still favourites to win as they return to home soil. The fact they have won three matches without yet calling on South Africa captain Faf du Plessis highlights their batting strength in depth, while the bowlers have already showed what they can do on home soil too.
With MS Dhoni as their finisher, and Dwayne Bravo’s death bowling – with both men keen to prove a point after the Mumbai defeat – they can beat Kings XI Punjab at home.
