Cape Cobras have lost early wickets in both their matches and that is something they will need to change quickly. Hashim Amla's poor form is their biggest concern at the moment. The South African star batsman has scored just 18 runs in two games and it will be crucial for the team that he scores big against the Warriors. Janneman Malan is another key component in this batting group. Kyle Verreynne has looked good so far but the Cobras will want him to convert his starts into something substantial. Their bowling looked flat in the last game against the Titans and they will be hoping that the likes of Vernon Philander, Rory Kleinveldt and Dane Paterson are able to bring their A-game into this match. Kleinveldt and Paterson both took three wickets apiece against the Lions and they will be expected to replicate that performance here. Philander can be threatening with the new ball and he will look to bring all of his international experience into play.

The team's middle-order batting will rely mainly on JJ Smuts and Sinethemba Qeshile. The Warriors will turn to the pace troika of Andrew Birch, Sisanda Magala and Lutho Sipamla to deliver the goods for them with the ball. Sipamla took a couple of wickets against the Titans and having performed well against the six-time champions would have surely boosted his confidence. Birch, who was the team's most successful bowler last season, will look to strike early with the new ball.
