They had topped the group stage, albeit on net-run-rate, but could not maintain their dominance in the one off game with the trophy up for grabs. South African bowling all-rounder, Sune Luus, finished the Women’s 6ixty as the leading wicket taker (5) and dismissed two batters in each of her last two games in the tournament. The Knight Riders have assembled a strong squad, led by Deandra Dottin who impressed in the Women’s Hundred, including New Zealand all-rounder Hayley Jensen and West Indies keeper-batter Kycia Knight.
