Pat Cummins (c), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Michael Neser, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Todd Murphy, Matthew Renshaw, Steve Smith (vc), Mitchell Starc, David Warner.
Marnus Labuschagne is the No.1 Test batsman in the ICC Test rankings. He has a good record in England and will be a key batter in the Aussie line-up. He has smashed 3394 runs in 37 matches at an impressive average of 57.53.
Usman Khwaja played brilliantly against India in the recent 4-match Test series in India. He was the leading run scorer with 333 runs in 4 matches. Khwaja has played 60 Tests and scored 4495 runs at an average of 47.82.
The left-arm pacer can be a difficulty for the Indian batters as left-arm bowlers are tough to face. Starc has a good record in England and against India as well so he will be a crucial pacer for the Aussies. Starc has picked 306 wickets in 77 Tests at an average of 27.52.
The 23-year-old Aussie all-rounder has been impressive in the long format. In 20 Tests, Green has taken 23 wickets and scored 941 runs.
Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Ishan Kishan, KS Bharat (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat
In the recent Test series against Australia, Virat Kohli smashed 186 runs in an innings and finished as the leading run scorer from India with 297 runs in 6 innings. Keeping Kohli’s previous performances in England in mind, we are expecting huge innings from him in this WTC final. Kohli has scored 8416 runs in 106 Test matches.
Shubman Gill is one of the top batters in the current cricketing world. He has impressed us in all the formats. We are expecting the Indian team to go with Gill at the top-order. Gill has scored 890 runs in 15 Test matches so far.
Shami is the all-time favourite Test bowler for the Indian team. He has performed well in England previously and will be a key pacer for England's turf. Shami has picked 225 wickets in 63 Tests so far.
Ravi Ashwin is, inarguably, one of the best Test all-rounders Indian has ever produced. He picks crucial wickets at the right time and gives the required breakthrough to the team. He is also capable of building innings with the bat. Ashwin has played 92 Tests so far in which he has scored 3129 runs and picked 474 wickets.
Australia is certainly the most dominating side in the Tests currently but there is one team which is giving them a hard time every time they face them. The team is India and they Australian Test side has failed to beat them in a Test series since 2014/15. They lost the series at their home and in India as well.
Keeping the head to head record of the last few Tests between these two sides and the performances of Indian players in England, we are backing India to win this WTC Final Test match and take home the Test Championship Mace.
