We will witness a tough fight as 16 teams will compete to lift the first ever Under 19 Women’s T20 World Cup trophy in South Africa.
To pick one team as a no.1 contender to lift the cup, we will back Australia to be the winners of the U-19 Women T20 World Cup 2023.
The players in the Aussie squad have some experience from the Women Big Bash League and they look stronger than the other squads. Charis Bekar of Perth Scorchers Women and Western Australia Women scored 38 runs against Queensland Women last month and she looked in confident form.
Lucy Hamilton is a right-arm off break bowler who has played a good amount of domestic cricket. Another off break bowler is Ella Hayward who picked 6 wickets in the Women BBL in November 2022.
We would suggest you to go with Australia as your Outright winner bet for the upcoming Under 19 Women T20 World Cup 2023.
If you want to bet on an underdog team as well then our choice is India. BCCI arranges a good amount of domestic cricket for the under-19 players and India has always produced quality under-19 players both men and women.
The under-19 women’s team will be led by Shafali Varma who has an experience of international cricket having played 51 T20Is, 21 ODIs and 2 Tests. In 51 T20I matches, Shafali Varma has scored 1231 runs and picked 6 wickets.
Wicket-keeper batter Richa Ghosh also has an experience of 30 T20Is in which she has scored 427 runs. Right-arm off break bowler, Archana Devi has also performed well lately, taking 4 wickets against South Africa women u19 and 3 wickets against New Zealand women u19.
