About The 6ixty Women
The 6ixty Women is a brand new 60-ball (10 overs) tournament which is fabricated jointly by Cricket West Indies and Caribbean Premier League. The tournament will commence its first season on 24 August and the final match will take place on 28 August.
The women's edition of the 6ixty will begin with the 1st match between Barbados Royals vs Trinbago Knight Riders on 24th August at Warner Park Sporting Complex, Basseterre.
The same venue will host all the 6ixty matches including the final match.
A total of 7 matches will take place in the first edition of Women’s 6ixty.
The 6ixty Women 2022 Format
There are 3 teams and each team will face each other twice in the league stage.
At the end of the league stage, 2 teams which will top the table will proceed to the finals.
The 6ixty Women 2022 Rules
The number of overs is not the only thing that makes this league different from other leagues. There are several new rules which have never been before in any league.
- Each batting team will have 6 wickets and the team will be declared all out after the fall of 6th wicket.
- The batting team will get 2 powerplay and they can unlock a 3rd power play by hitting 2 sixes in the first 2 overs. The 3rd powerplay can be used by the batting team in any over from 3-9 overs.
- Out of the 60 balls, the first 30 balls will be bowled from one end while the next 30 will be bowled from the other end. This is different from the usual cricket rule where the ends change after each over.
- A specific time will be given to the bowling team to complete their overs. If they will not be able to complete their overs within the time limit then as a penalty one player will be removed from the fielding for the last 6 balls.
- “Mystery Free Hit” is an interesting rule for this tournament. The viewers and the fans will vote for the timing of the Free Hit where the batsman cannot be dismissed.

Warner Park Sporting Complex will host all the matches for The 6ixty.
The stadium is situated in the capital city of St Kitts and Nevis, Basseterre.

The pitch here offers advantage to the team batting second. The toss winners usually opt to field first.
