Get all information about RR in IPL 2022 including complete squad, players list, matches schedule, latest news and predictions.
Rajasthan Royals had a redemption season last year as they performed brilliantly and reached the finals after 13 seasons. They performed pretty well under the captaincy of the Indian wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson.
Rajasthan Royals has been part of the IPL T20 league since its first season in 2008. Royals was the winner of the first IPL season and they lifted the trophy under the captaincy of Australian legendary spinner Shane Warne. After the first season, RR reached the finals in the 2022 season but couldn’t win the 2nd title.
In 2015, a panel of the Supreme Court of India banned Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings for two seasons - 2016 & 2017. They made a comeback in the 2018 season.

Rajasthan Royals will be led by Sanju Samson again in the upcoming season. The young skipper has been quite impressive with his captaincy skills in the last season and he took the team to the finals.
Sri Lankan veteran player Kumar Sangakkara has been associated with the Royals franchise and he will be the head coach once again.
Last year’s performance will certainly put Rajasthan Royals among the top contenders to lift the trophy this year. They won 9 out of 14 league stage matches and finished at the 2nd spot on the points table.
Jos Butler was just way too brilliant in the last season. He smashed 4 centuries and scored 863 runs to win the orange cap. Along with him RR has retained Devdutt Padikkal, Kuldeep Sen, R Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Prasidh Krishna, Trent Boult, Shimron Hetmyer. Krishna has been ruled out of the season as he is still recovering from injury. Experienced IPL pacer Sandeep Sharma is set to replace him in the RR squad.
After last season’s performance, the Royals wouldn’t want to make any big changes. They have roped in Adam Zampa, Joe Root, Jason Holder along with KM Asif and many more.
The spin attack is going to be lethal for RR with Zampa, Chahal and Ashwin at their side.
Jos Buttler: Buttler was the leading run-scorer in the last season and he has been in good form lately. He will be a key batter for the RR side again. In 82 IPL matches, Buttler has smashed 2831 runs at an aggressive strike rate of 149.71.
Ravichandran Ashwin: Ashwin proved to be a useful all-rounder for the team in the last season. He maintained the best economy among all bowlers, at 7.50 and smashed 191 runs in 12 innings.
Sanju Samson: The skipper is a power hitter in this format. He had a strike rate of 146.79 in the last season and he was among the top scorers with 458 runs in 17 matches. Overall he has smashed 3526 runs in 138 IPL matches.
Trent Boult: The New Zealand pacer has been very impressive in his IPL career so far. After a long span with the Mumbai Indians camp, Boult moved to the Royals from last season and he picked 16 wickets in the last season. He is 8 wickets away from reaching the 100-wicket mark in the IPL.
Yuzvendra Chahal: Yuzi Chahal was the leading wicket taker in the last season, finishing the season with 27 wickets. He has been a key spinner for the RCB team for a long time and was inducted into the RR side in the last season. Chahal along with Adam Zampa this year could prove to be a deadly spin combination for the rival. Chahal has taken 166 wickets in 131 IPL matches.

In the IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals finished the league stage at 2nd place and they finished the season as a runner-up team.
This Royals squad is their best version with quality batting and bowling.
Sanju Samson will look forward to performing better in the next IPL season in 2023 and take his team to a level where they can lift their 2nd IPL trophy. Royals was the winner of the first season of the IPL in 2008.
Devdutt Padikkal, Dhruv Jurel, Jos Buttler , K.C Cariappa, Kuldeep Sen, Kuldip Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Obed Mccoy, Prasidh Krishna, R. Ashwin, Riyan Parag, Sanju Samson, Shimron Hetmyer, Trent Boult, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal
Anunay Singh, Corbin Bosch, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Karun Nair, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Rassie Van Der Dussen, Shubham Garhwal, Tejas Baroka
Rajasthan has certainly levelled up after last season’s performance. They haven’t made big changes to their squad and have roped in more T20 performers like Adam Zampa. They can certainly reach the playoffs once again.
We are backing Rajasthan Royals to reach the playoffs once again but they need their key batters Buttler and Samson in good shape for that.
Winning the IPL trophy can be difficult for the Rajasthan side as they are dependent on their 2 batters for putting huge totals on the board. If they don’t perform up to the mark then things could be difficult for the team, therefore, a title win still looks far away for Rajasthan Royals.
