The first game of the three-match IT20 series between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh gets underway at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday afternoon. Zimbabwe won their last game in this format on July 17 in Bulawayo. Bangladesh were beaten in their last IT20 in Guyana on July 16. Read on as we preview this series opener. The match gets underway at 13:00 local time.
Zimbabwe have registered home IT20 wins over Singapore, Jersey, USA, Papua New Guinea and the Netherlands already this month. They are playing good cricket and have home advantage in this series.
Bangladesh have one of the weakest records in this format over the last ten months. However, they have only been playing the top teams and they will back their chances against Zimbabwe.

The hosts will be full of confidence after beating the Netherlands by 37 runs in Bulawayo only ten days ago. Although this will be a much tougher contest, we expect Zimbabwe to be unchanged from the side which produced the good earlier in the month.
Zimbabwe come into this game in excellent form after winning the World Cup Qualifier B tournament earlier this month.

The Tigers ended their tour of the West Indies with a 3-0 win in the ODIs but suffered a 3-0 reverse in the IT20s beforehand. They are without star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and captain Mahmudullah for this series. Wicket-keeper Nurul Hasan will captain the side.
Bangladesh have been very poor in this format stretching back as far as the T20 World Cup last year. They have won only one of their last 11 IT20s.
