After a rain-affected opening defeat, Winnipeg Hawks – led by Chris Lynn’s top-order hitting – had bounced back well with two wins. They chased 209 to beat Vancouver in just 15.2 overs and then hit 217/7 to beat Toronto off the final ball.
Last time out, however, they were bowled out for just 116 against in-form Brampton Wolves on their way to a seven-wicket defeat.
