Who will win West Indies Women vs India Women, 1st T20 2019?
After beating the hosts in their WODI series, India Women now taken on West Indies Women in the first of five WT20 internationals. The series starts on November 9 at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground in Gros Islet, and the live action gets underway at 18:00 local time.
West Indies go into this series on the back of a 3-0 series loss to Australia in September, having also lost a rain-affected series in England too. Their last wins were against Ireland, but they will hope the batting form of Stafanie Taylor and the wicket-taking return of Hayley Matthews in the WODIs bode well for this shorter-format series.
India, meanwhile, came from behind to win that WODI series and welcomed Smriti Mandhana back from injury in the final game. She was straight into her excellent form with the bat and India will now be keen to back up their previous series win against South Africa with more success against the West Indies.
