The final game of the five match IT20 series between West Indies and India takes place on Sunday morning at the Central Broward Regional Park, Lauderhill. India have already sealed the series and bring a 3-1 lead into this match after winning Saturday’s game by 59 runs. Read on as we preview the fifth IT20. The game begins at 10:30 local time in Florida.
West Indies had a few encouraging moments but overall looked like a team defeated throughout Saturday’s game. The harsh truth is that India have a far stronger side with bat and ball.
India picked an XI with a longer tail on Saturday than in previous games, but it did not seem to affect the top order who played in their usual aggressive style. Very few of West Indies’ batters have coped with India’s bowlers.

Although West Indies suffered their heaviest defeat of the series when batting second, we do not foresee any changes to the side, unless there are last minute injuries. They kept faith with the same team who lost by seven wickets for Saturday’s game and it looks like these are the players the hosts want to build around.
West Indies have now lost three of their last four IT20s and Saturday’s game was the first time this year that they had been bowled out in this format.

There were three changes for India ahead of Saturday’s game. Out went Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Hardik Pandya with Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson returning. Avesh Khan surprisingly kept his place and put in an excellent display. We expect India to field an unchanged side in this match.

India are strong favourites to win this final game of the series and complete a 4-1 victory. West Indies’ odds have lengthened after another defeat to India on Saturday.
West Indies have not been able to keep up with India in the batting or bowling stakes during this series. Apart from one brilliant spell from Obed McCoy, India have been able to deal with everything thrown at them.
We are backing Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell and Kyle Mayers as our batting tips for West Indies. Powell has not made a large score in the series but has hit West Indies highest score (107) in IT20s so far this year.
Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant are our batting picks with the bat for India. Pant top scored with 44 runs from 31 balls in this game.
Obed McCoy, Alzarri Joseph and Jason Holder are our bowling recommendations for West Indies. McCoy got the big wickets of Pant and Karthik on this pitch on Saturday.
We expect Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan to be the top bowlers for India. Khan took 2-17 in the fourth IT20 and justified all the faith shown in him earlier in the series.
This series has been competitive at times but India have been much the better side and fully deserve to come into this final match with an unassailable lead. West Indies may put in their best performance of the series with the bat with the pressure off, but we are still backing India to win this final game.
