West Indies and India go head to head in the second of three ODIs at the Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad on Sunday. The opening game of the series took place on Friday with India winning a fantastic contest by only three runs. India posted 308-7 with West Indies getting a bye off the final ball to end on 305-6. Read on as we preview this game. The ODI gets underway at 09:30 local time.
After another defeat in this format, West Indies were very upbeat post-game on Friday. They took plenty of confidence from pushing India all the way and will take that mindset into this ODI.
India looked set for a huge total when they were 213-1 during the 34th over. However, their innings fell away in the final third and they will want to produce more runs in the latter part of this game to remain ahead of the hosts.

West Indies won the toss and chose to field first in the opening ODI but did not get as much out of the pitch as they expected. The last three games have been won by the team batting first and we predict that both skippers will want to bat first.

The return of Jason Holder to the ODI side was delayed by illness on Friday and it is unlikely he will be available for this second game of the series. Romario Shepherd stepped up from the reserves list and put in a fine performance. Gudakesh Motie injured his thumb whilst fielding and we expect Hayden Walsh to come into the side.
With seven straight defeats, West Indies’ struggles remain in this format. However, they scored over 200 for the first time in four home ODIs on Friday.

The vice-captain, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, missed the first ODI with a slight knee injury and he is not expected to be fully fit for this game. Shreyas Iyer took on the job of vice-captain and should be the same for the second ODI. India got through Friday’s game without any new injuries.
India have won six of their last seven ODIs. Although the first game of the series was far tighter than they would have hoped, they still got over the line.
