West Indies stunned hosts India on Thursday with a seven-wicket victory over them to set up the final match of the ICC World Twenty20 2016 against England. The ultimate battle for the World T20 trophy will be held on April 3 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and live action will begin at 7 PM local time. England too had upset favorites New Zealand a day before with a win by the same margin. This will be a clash between the former champions. England won the title in 2010 while the West Indies were the winners of the 2012 edition. Both the teams appear equally strong and it could be anybody's game on Sunday.

They were very convincing in their semi-final win over New Zealand. Jason Roy starred for England in their seven-wicket victory, smashing 78 off 44 balls to be adjudged the player of the match. The opener is just 12 runs behind Joe Root who is currently the leading run-scorer for England. Root with 195 runs in the tournament will yet again have high betting odds in his favor. Jos Butler is also scoring consistently and is among England's best middle-order batsman at No. 5.
After the Kiwis got off to a blazing start, the English bowlers bowled beautifully in the death overs to restrict their opposition to a modest total. Ben Stokes emerged as the top bowler with figures of 3 for 26 in four overs. However, David Willey with 7 wickets so far has been the most successful bowler for England and will be a worthy bet to take the most wickets on Sunday. Chris Jordan and Moeen Ali too have been amongst the wickets and are expected to do well in the final.

Despite losing Chris Gayle early, they managed to see off India in the semi final courtesy of Johnson Charles and Lendl Simmons. With this win, the Windies proved once again that they are not a one-man army. Lendl Simmons played his first game of the tournament and top-scored with an unbeaten 82 which could earn him another shot in the final in place of Andre Fletcher. Gayle should be familiar with the conditions at the Eden Gardens as he has played quite a few IPL games here. The left-hander, thus, has a good chance of exploding again and is definitely worth a bet.
Andre Russell has taken eight wickets in this World T20, the most by a West Indian bowler. Though a better betting option would be Samuel Badree who has seven wickets in his bag along with an outstanding economy rate of 5.68. Dwayne Bravo with six wickets is another successful bowler for the West Indies and the pitch at the Eden could yield better results for the seamer.
Final Prediction
England have been playing very well in this World T20. The Eoin Morgan-led side put up a clinical performance against an undefeated New Zealand team and knocked them out of the tournament. There aren't much concerns in their playing XI and the overall team composition looks well balanced. West Indies, however, will have a psychological edge from their win over England in the group stage match. Also, they have beaten them 9 times out of the 13 T20Is played between them.
Although there seems to be very little to choose between the two sides, the Windies feature plenty of big hitters which makes them a very dangerous unit in the T20 format. West Indies, therefore, have a slightly better chance than England to lift the World T20 trophy on Sunday.
