Warwickshire vs Yorkshire Prediction

Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Gary Ballance are the pillars of their batting. Root played a sensational knock of 92 from 51 balls in his first game of the season last week on Friday. Ballance is more of a test-match batsman, so most of Yorkshire's batting is going to depend on the openers, Root and Bairstow.
With 5 wickets apiece in this year's Natwest T20 Blast, Tim Bresnan and Liam Plunkett are currently in good bowling form. The former took three wickets in the last game and his pace could trouble the batsmen at Edgbaston. Yorkshire will expect more out of leg-spinner Adil Rashid though. 

Our Prediction

Warwickshire won the inaugural edition of the Natwest T20 Blast in 2014 and they reached the semi-finals last year. So their record in this tournament is pretty impressive. In the four head-to-head games with Yorkshire, Warwickshire lead 2-1 with one game being washed out. Also, they will be playing Yorkshire on their home ground at Edgbaston where they had beaten them last year. 

Though Yorkshire are a strong team with a well-balanced batting and bowling, their performance this year has not been quite up to the mark. We, therefore, predict Warwickshire (Birmingham Bears) to win this match on Friday.
