Jesse Ryder, with 430 runs to his name including two hundreds and three fifties, has scored the most runs for Essex and his splendid form with the bat makes him a favorite to top-score against Warwickshire. With Westley struggling to score the big runs, the team will want Browne and Bopara to click at the top. Ryder, Browne and Bopara will have to perform if Essex are to reach 275.

Rikki Clarke has been the most impressive of Warwickshire's faster bowlers and he can be dangerous if he is able to get some movement off the pitch. Jeetan Patel will come into play once the ball gets a little older. The off-spinner has taken 12 wickets in the tournament and Warwickshire will back him to pick up wickets and keep the run-rate in check. If these two bowlers are well supported by the others, Essex will have to face quite a few problems in getting to the predicted score.

The two teams have gone face-to-face only once in the Royal London One-Day Cup. Their only face-off came back in the quarter-finals of the 2014 edition at the County Ground, Chelmsford where Warwickshire emerged victorious by 67 runs.

Both the teams have done well with four wins from their seven completed group-stage matches. Warwickshire, however, won all their three group games at Edgbaston this year and appear to be a tough side to take down at their home ground. But Essex are a strong unit themselves and they will fancy their chances against the hosts with all their big players in good form.

Warwickshire may come into this match with a psychological edge over Essex, having beaten them once in a quarter-final before. But Essex with a nice batting depth and a slightly sharper bowling attack seem to be the favorites to win this time around.
