The Hawks dropped out of the top four in the final set of round one fixtures, after losing to bottom-side Edmonton Royals – the heavy defeat leaves them on four points with a worse net run rate than Toronto Nationals.

Chadwick Walton: Scored his second unbeaten half-century of the group stage last time out to remind everybody of his batting prowess – the West Indian hitting two sixes and four fours in his 45-ball innings.
Shoaib Malik: The Pakistani veteran has been in good batting form in the middle order, albeit under little pressure thanks to those above him in the order. He hit 34* from 17 balls against Edmonton and 41* from 28 balls against Brampton.

Vancouver Knights ended the group stage with back-to-back wins and it would have been three in a row were it not for the rain interrupting what was set to be a big win against Montreal before that.
Chris Gayle led the chase of 166 to beat Edmonton as they got back to winning ways – narrowly missing out on back-to-back hundreds as he hit 94 from 44 balls in a six-wicket win. Last up, against league leaders Brampton Wolves, Daniel Sams took 4-25 to bowl the Wolves out for 138, before Chadwick Walton’s half-century helped them ease to an eight-wicket victory.
